haha. That’s your preference. Working in higher ed, I know successful HBCU alumni who are enjoying lucrative careers. Man stop making asinine comments about a community you know absolutely nothing about. You wouldn’t hire an HBCU alumnus but that’s why you are you and that’s fine. But when I am having meetings with high reps from Adidas responsible for the signing and marketing campaigns of our biggest sports stars today or having a scientist from NASA come down to speak to my students and they are proud HBCU alumni, I know you don’t know what you’re talking about. And that’s not counting everyone I know.

If you are not willing to stick around and get an actual good degree from a P5 school, there is no way your are going to waste another year just to get some borderline community college degree.

They're not getting a full education and they're there because of the basketball team's historical success just like the top kids in football flocking to Alabama. It's the winning. Secondly, UNC has had plenty of academic scandals. I have worked on Wall Street. I have friends and colleagues that attended HBCUs such as Howard and have excelled in corporate America. I wonder why you proceed to perpetuate stereotypes about these universities?

I once worked at another major p5 school and they just constructed a curriculum/graduation plan for their students about 5 years ago. Students who opted for that institution were unfortunately wasting their time taking whatever classes they felt then appealing for a interdisciplinary degree because they took trash courses for 4 years.
