OT: Duke basketball fans

But they have sports TEAMS. So do ppl just hate Duke or is that just a overall “Internet forum” rule? Or do you really expect ppl not even from Miami, or Florida to like UM’s basketball team just because they like they Miami’s football team

Because you typically like teams that relate to you and your personality.

Liking a school like Duke with no personality and a rigid approach as opposed to lively school like Miami.

They are polar opposites. Its the epitome of front running.

I fell in love with Miami as a kid and I have been a fan of all things Miami since.

I never understood how my friends could be Vatech football fans but UNC B-ball fans.. like wtf??
 
Pretty sure the song from Sopranos was "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey, right? Pretty cornball song. General karaoke fare. Duke ****** sing it at every game? Not surprised. If you like Duke basketball, stop liking UM football. That's two totally opposite ends of the spectrum.

I’m not here to attempt to convince you that being a front-running groupie is feeble and that true college fans are fans of one college or maybe two if they attended two.

You can only like teams that you have graduated from or live in that city/state. Otherwise you are a *****ass groupie.

LMAO I just youtubed it. That is the song. They where singing and dancing to that for about 3 minutes to start the game. Then they played this song and started singing and dancing to it as well. Then I thought it couldnt get any gheyer, they somehow found an even gheyer song which I cant find and I forget the lyrics, but they started singing and dancing to that as well.

Edit: the best part is this is a thing for them. I found about 5 videos of different games where they play that everytime we touch song. They do it every game apparently.

Not if you root for the school that is from the city you're originally from i.e. you can root for Miami if your from here, even if you go to another school.

I 100% agree. I said in my original post "You can only like teams that you have graduated from or live in that city/state. Otherwise you are a *****ass groupie." I was just adding in additional provisions lol.
 
Trust me, Duke football fans ain't no better. Went to a football game several years ago @ Wallace **** Stadium. No parking. No concessions. And the football teams came through Cameron Indoor to get into the football stadium. Thought I was at a geek book reading party!

That's how it is for me. Born in Miami, raised in Hollywood. Been a Cane all my life and will be the rest of it. My undergrad and graduate degrees are from a small D2 school that I root for as well. Enjoy going to their home games. ****, they even have at least 6 or so SoFlo kids on the squad every year 900 miles from Miami.
