OT: DTR is a joke

Holding my opinion on Chip cause DTR couldn’t hit the wide side of a barn. Totally inaccurate.

The Cinci QB, on the other hand, looked great. Accurate and poised. Not sure if it was bad defense or good offense, but guys were open all night and he always made the right throw. The RB can play too. Cinci is a solid team again this year.

Chip Kelly is the Enron of college football.

If Enron was a fat north east ******* who had social anxiety and made up racist lies about skill players being gang members.

Everyone runs a no huddle, spread now. Gotta keep adding wrinkles to keep it effective. I college football, if you're still doing the same things you were 10 years ago, you're going to get passed by.

The game has evolved. Kelly was ahead of his time at Oregon ... But that’s no longer the case.

Doesn’t change what he did at Oregon. He was legit ... Bags, or not. But the current game has passed him.

Some of y’all Butch fans need to read that again, and replace Kelly with Davis and Oregon with Miami.

Both are true.
This is true. Defensive coordinators are so so good these days that they'll adjust to something new in 2-3 years max. That was his window and thats long gone

I didn't follow this kid in recruiting. Was he supposed to be good? LAst night was first time I ever watched him and I think it was THE worst performance by a QB I've ever seen in my life. "Bad" doesn't come remotely close to doing it justice.

What about 30 years ago? Richt had us 10-0 at one point 😂

I didnt totally hate the RPO, just how Richt implemented it. I actually think we could use more RPO with our young tackles, who showed they can run block 100x better than pass block (we saw it a couple times in the game). JW's accuracy combined with not having to play under center would be helped by the RPO as well. What I hated about Richt's offense was not using motion, ignoring the middle of the field, using tiny receivers on end zone fade routes, same routes over and over again, and zero feel for the flow of the game.

He's the guy Jon Richt racked up the air miles for. At least that's the reason he gave his dad.

It wasn’t him. It was that kid Johnson who I think wound up at Ped State.
You at right, it was Michael Johnson Jr. who played in Oregon and his dad was a coach at Oregon. Johnson ended up at Penn St. in the 2019 class.

In the 2018 class, we were after DTR early, than cooled on him after Sitkowski committed. But went after him again kind of leaning on the Bishop Gorman connection with Brevin Jordan after we dropped Sitkowski. After that really didn’t go anywhere we flipped Jarren Williams from Kentucky and cooled on DTR.

I remember when he laughed at us when Artur Sitkowski decommited. Happy to have Jarren now.
