Making the trip down for my first Canes home game and I'd appreciate some tips from local fans to make the best of my pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Mostly looking for gameday advice such as parking, tailgating, where to be for the Canes Walk, etc. We're staying Fri-Mon, so I'm also open to recommendations on bars & restaurants, and possibly some local intel on hiring a good fishing charter (staying in Ft. Lauderdale).

Tix have already been procured, hotel & flight is booked, now I'm just trying to plan out the details while I wait for November to roll around. First time I saw the Canes was Happy Valley in 92. Been to a few games between then and now but sadly I never made it to the OB (RIP). Other than my kids being born and maybe a few select moments while wearing the uniform....this trip is going to be special for me, so any advice to help make it more enjoyable would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm not from there but went to my first game at Hard Rock last year ... Only advice I have is to get chauffeured to and from the game .... That helped me a whole lot .. It's just much less stressful if you don't know exactly where you're going and all the traffic going in and coming out ..

Traffic and parking is not too bad getting to the stadium. However, leaving the stadium...ugh....but I bet that's no different from most game day experiences.

Did you purchase your parking pass already? Too early to tell on TGing, game time hasn't been set so it's impossible, at the moment, to tell you what time to get there. Just be ready for a party.

Where in Ft. Lauderdale? There's quite a few breweries in the area that carry games, i.e Funk Buddha and Brass Tap Ft. Lauderdale. And all sorts of restaurants.

Not yet, trying to find out where the best place to party is going to be. Keeping my fingers crossed for a night game, or at least a 3:30 kickoff.

We're staying a few miles from the airport just off 95 near Oakwood Plaza. Not trying to spend much time at the hotel so I just used points to book a place for the weekend rather than splurge. Thanks for the heads up on the breweries, we'll be looking for a place to watch the games Sunday so that will work for us.

Def. head down to Liberty City after the game.....great place to grab a beer or two and celebrate with the locals.

If you don't already have a parking pass, you're going to overpay on the secondary market. My guess would be around $100, maybe significantly more.

Schedule an Uber or Lyft to get you there and back would be my best guess.

Yeah they're going for $60 already, I'll probably just go ahead and snag one bc we definitely want to tailgate and experience the pregame atmosphere.
