Anyone ever buy a domain name? Create a web site? But a domain name and sell it?

Yes. I've done a bit of web development on the side. On your last question, usually you register a domain with your personal information. When someone does a whois lookup on the domain, your personal information as it pertains to your full name, email, phone number, etc... is included. Need more info, then PM me.

I'd like more information on it as well, please PM me as well if you don't mind.

PM whoop for the scoop

If you think you are going to buy domain names and flip them for profit, you are sadly mistaken. Guys like Rick Schwartz have complex algorithms that snatch up domains before you can even think of them, and the people who would be interested in buying them aren't going to wait for you to buy the domain so they can pay you more.

Yeah, it's rare to turn a profit in purchasing and reselling domain names. Tried to purchase some of the Kanye West for president 2020 domains (I seriously dislike him) as I knew that would be a joke come 2018/2019. Just about every permutation/combination of the domain name were already snatched up.

I just want to say this:

I agree with it being tough. Who wouldnt want lebronjames.com? For BB the classes of 2017,18,19 all top 5 star high school kids are snatched up. So I do agree with your sentiment there. Ive managed to snag what I think are great domain names. Id love to share them, but some of them I didnt keep my info private. And there likely some crazy folks here, and def are way more tech savvy than me.

I googled top twitter accounts. A list of most followed people came up. Believe it or not, I managed to find one of their names as a domain.
