They should first secure that **** 1st pick...which is worth it's weight in gold.

Even if you don't take Tua, you can then trade then for a boatload of assets. If they get the 2nd or 3rd pick, the perceived value won't be as high.

I can't even comprehend what in the name of the **** they were thinking today.

There is so much wrong with this post I can't even begin to attack it.

That value of that first pick is a game changer, especially this year. It's retarded *** backwards thinking to approach this season any other way.

They can do the same with the 2nd pick. I think as a matter of pride the franchise doesn't want to go 0-16.
 
I’m taking Herbert over Tua if I’m the fins. I’d rather choose between Fields or Lawrence next year though...

No, that's just the latest edition of the annual brainwashed pseudo-logic you dolphin fans create to pass the time one limp-****ed season to the next.

Every single bit of empirical research on the NFL draft clearly demonstrates that having a higher allocation of early pics is a significantly larger measure of statistical long-term success than having a higher absolute pick with less behind it. Despite your very best efforts to be the worst team in the league, Cincinnati and the Jets are worse. You can't out-suck them.

The reason is very simple. Evaluating talent from the college ranks and applying it to future outcomes in the NFL is a highly inexact science, and some blurry artwork, at best.

Extracting every possible amount of draft value out of the roster was the first smart thing the Dolphins front office has done since it drafted Dan Marino. it is a significantly better strategy than having your team run out the back of its own endzone every single play like you guys seem to prefer they do.
 
We screwed this up in a major way with a win today. Even if you don’t want Tua you want that #1 pick. If you have to trade up for your guy you lose the assets you’ve stacked.

i don’t want to be happy about it. But is just been a big 305 sports weekend that I expect us to cap off with a Heat win over the rockets.

You over thinking it tryna sound like the smartest person in the room. Yes having a boat load of picks spreads risk and increases the chances of filling out your roster.

but you can’t ignore that having a franchise QB outweighs all of that.

Everybody ****ed and moaned about Marino and Shula and couldn't wait for them to go. They were the reason we never got past the first round of the playoffs. They were the source of every problem with the Dolphins and it would be all sunshine and rainbows once they were replaced.

They haven't been worth the time to watch ever since.

Yep, feels like all we had when I was young was Marino. I remember Duper and Clayton too but that's it. That's why I love the Canes so much, we were dominating in my early years, and again in my early 20s. The Dolphins were garbage most of my life.
 
The Phins can't even tank properly.

To go through all the trouble of looking bad in the eye of the media, have some guys quit not wanting to tank, and be made a joke on every TV outlet only to then go and ***** it up? Yeah that my friends is the Miami Dolphins.
 
here is exactly the most dolphins thing to do -- and it's EXACTLY what's going to happen

They are going to ***** up tanking, end up with like the 4th or 5th pick, and then trade all of the assets they have acquired to move to the #1 pick to take Tua -- who they are gonna jam in there the first game and he's gonna get hurt.

You HAD to lose that game today just like you HAVE to lose the one against the Bengals

Also does not help that the Colts missed that game-winning FG against Pittsburg -- we REALLY need the Steelers to lose, we need that pick to by top 10

Gase is another perfect example of someone who is a really good coordinator and does not have all the skills needed to be a head coach and ***** the bed trying to be one.
 
I've seen enough to be sold on Flores. The front office traded away all of their good players, and he still has them playing hard. Easy to lose that team, even in the pros. Last four games they have made teams sweat it out, even in their losses.
