OT:Dolphins free agency

As long as we start winning some ****ing games I'm good with whatever. Maxwell got torched last year though so I'm hoping his big year opposite Sherman in Seattle wasn't a fluke.

He's coming to a scheme that's going to be very similar to Seattle allegedly, which bolds well from him

Thanks fins, I can't believe there was a team dumb enough to take Maxwell and his awful contract , then throw in Alonso. Wow

I wouldn't even expect anything back after that and I'd still be thrilled

They have an out in 2017 because he's only guaranteed 3 mil...Alonso makes 900 k why the duck are you complaining . Calm your nipples, Chris Grier is a highly touted football mind that turned down 4 other GM jobs to stay in Miami and learned from his dad who's a scouting legend

sorry didn't read it fully. Been tired of all these know it all "fins" fans and "sports reporter" Omar Kelly who "keeps it real" but actually Sounds like an idiot half the time saying we're idiots instead of realizing they were in bad systems for their skill sets and I took it out on you

I don't think it was the system , it was more he was surrounded by pro bowlers in Seatle. If he's more than your third or fourth CB you're in trouble , he can't play man at all. He's awful.

I saw him play in Seatle and I hated the pickup , they took a nickel/dime CB and paid him like a number one . We just spent money because philly had it , and was desperate at CB .

Wish y'all luck with him, just pray he's in zone all game

Your right he's not a man to man guy, they asked him to do that and a lot of other things he didn't do in Seattle that's why it was the scheme. He wasn't ****** in Seattle, even you can agree with that and the new supposed defense is going to be very similar

Alonso's the best thing to come out of that trade...low-risk, high-reward type of pickup. Dude did really well with Buffalo but hasn't been the best since that knee injury. One year at 900K isn't too bad at all, especially given our need for a decent ILB. Upgrade over Sheppard for sure, lets us do more with Misi now, too.

Maxwell got torched a bit last year, but if there's one good thing to come out of it, its that we get rid of that nutcase acid-casualty Miko Grimes.

Apparently, we're also looking at Alex Boone, too...he and Sweezy wouldn't be bad upgrades at guard..just hope we have enough money to put it all together.

Agree with Alonso, he's just very injury prone . But he's super cheap , low risk.

I'd rather sign one then draft Joshua Garnett from Stanford because at least he's going to be a top 10 run blocker imo

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that if Mario Williams is picked up, then Vernon is doneski with the Fins.

I think him and wake are gone...it is the deepest DL draft class in 10 years probably be able to trade down a bit and still pick a future pro bowler

I'm just pumped that the Dolphins have learned from all of our past mistakes. Why keep the young emerging talents already on the roster when you can trade draft picks and burn cap space to take on vets past their prime?

Chris Grier isn't the GM of ****, this is Tannenbaum's team and if that doesn't scare you then nothing will.

...Olivier can't get a sack without Cameron Wake being on the field( 18.5 of his 25.5 sacks while starting with him ), Lamar is getting the same money that we offered him and still left, and Rishard Matthews wants nothing to do with us...don't know what you're complaining about

i wasn't a fan of vernon and he made a lot of mental mistakes, ill take williams for less and see what happens

the maxwell/alonso trade is a high risk high reward for me, didn't give too much for 2 starters, but they both have question marks with injury and being away from a certain scheme

we might draft a DB with they pick if we get a dam guard or a tackle with that pick imma go crazy, i hate ramsey with a passion at FSU but i hope he falls to phins (yes it pained me to type that )

Actually low risk on the trade because we probably gave up low round picks and we can get out of the Maxwell deal next year no prob and I would lean to DE or OLB in the draft...they're in a lot of conversations for DB's on the market...also if jalen Ramsey or shaq isn't there, they're probably trading down

Heard Miami cut Wake today. But me personally, I don't see much of a difference between Wake and Mario Williams, who I also heard has agreed to sign with Miami. Unless they are getting Mario for cheap, just restructure Wake's contract, unless he was unwilling

This is the exact same kind of rationalization we do every year when we win the offseason title belt. Dolphins fans...and I include myself...have got to be the most delusional fans on the planet, even moreso than the Cowboys.

its a high risk because kikos injury concern and maxwells lack of production after leaving the hawks, i wouldn't go LB or DE with the 8th pick if they dont decide to trade down, this is a deep draft at those positions, id hope we get janoris in free agency and see if ramsey drops if he doesn't id trade down get some extra draft picks and then go after a OL or LB or DE thats only if we trade down
