For all the experts out there, what's your preference and do you know of any good online outlets to purchase from. Thanks.

B8 is the best LG OLED deal you can get. C8 little more expensive but a few better perks. Newer ones pricier but little difference in picture quality.

OLED is the best for movies but not the best for sports though imo. My Sony X900F handles sports better than my LG OLED.

If you order from amazon it’s bound to get broken. Go to a Best Buy or use Dell (when they run promos), B&H or PC Richard & Son

Burn in on OLED's is a big risk but supposedly the Sony one is the best now. You might want to wait until the TCL 8 series comes out. I'm a Samsung guy myself but that TV looks pretty sweet. Samsung TVs took a step back this year for picture quality for some reason. I've personally bought three TVs from buydig.com and didn't have any issues (55 inch and smaller). But I usually do go with Best Buy on the larger TVs. My main TV is a UN75NU8000 and it looks fantastic. Check out this website for good recommendations: www.rtings.com

I wait till I see deals. I got a 55" 4K Roku TV from Best Buy 6 months ago for $300.

Are you in Miami? Try Brands Mart. I think in ft lauderdale down there. We have them here in Atlanta. Best deals I have seen on tvs and I shopped a lot of places.

If you’re worried about it breaking during shipping or just want to go through a reputable dealer than go Best Buy, and try to price match with Dell or another Best Buy recognized dealer if you’re cost sensitive. (If you’re not a BB card holder they usually have some additional incentives when you get the card and purchase the TV... deals man, I’m all about them)

You can also checkout slickdeals to see if there are any available deals for the particular OLED you’re looking for.

If not worried about it breaking during shipping or any other shipping issues, but are cost sensitive, try greentoe (a bidding site). One BIG caveat is that if they accept your bid you automatically buy the item, so bid low. LG OLEDs purchased from that site are guaranteed new, and LGs warranty will be intact from which ever authorized dealer accepted your bid.

I got the 65 inch LG B8 from Best Buy at a pretty good price (considering it’s an OLED), and it’s an amazing TV. I probably should’ve waited to get this year’s C9.... But couldnt pass on the deal I got on the B8. If cost is no issue, I’d probably go with an E9. There is nothing wrong with the Sony OLEDs, they’re just generally more expensive, and the LG sets are the ones that are winning awards.

You can also check out the Samsung QLED Q80R. Different from the OLEDs but a solid TV, no worry about burn in, and supposedly better for watching sports and playing games.

Check out rtings.com. They have some Insightful reviews on smart TVs currently in the market, and have a comparison tool that breaks down differences between the sets you’re interested in. I’m no TV expert, just recently went through the process. Good Luck man, this isn’t a small purchase.

Bro, I spent several weeks researching TVs. I highly recommend staying away from OLEDs if you have kids. Why? Because they tend to leave TVs on the same channel or pause games then forget about it. It WILL cause screen burn in. A few weeks ago I went to an electronics store and they had the top of the line OLEDs on display. The burn in was unbelievable. Massive green splotches everywhere. I asked the salesman what happened and he said the images on a 1 min loop and that's what happens when you play the same video loop for 4 mo straight. 3 different salespeople (who dont receive commissions) said they would not buy OLEDs over a top of the line QLED. Just FYI, if you are looking for a quality LED, look for Full Array Local Dimming (FALD). Most cheaper TVs are edge lit, so that results in grayish blacks instead of dark blacks. With FALD the more dimming zones the better. The other thing to keep in mind is the reflectivity. Most people dont give it much thought, but unless you have a dark man cave, the glare from light sources can often make it hard to see the TV. Less reflective, the better.
