OT: Coach McSharkLover about to get fired from Florida?

I want him to stay but almost 20 million dollars in total from buyouts will make it hard to pay for a top coach. ****ed either way

Charlie Strong would probably be near the top of that list no?

Scott Frost too.

Strong? After his flop at Texas would be hilarious

37–15 (23-3 his last 2 years) at Louisville and 7-0 at USF already.

People expected far too much in Texas having to clean up Mac Brown's dumpster fire, dude didn't even get a full class through.

He inherited that USF roster though

I'm aware he was gifted an 11-2 team, I'm just saying give the guy the right cast and he can win. He's also a killer in SoFla recruiting, Texas was such a bad match for him.

He doesn't have his old Louisville So FL bag man anymore. What was his name, Hurd or something? The fat guy who got us in trouble.

The guy was 7-6 his first two years at Louisville. Then Teddy Bridgewater took over and he won 11 games.

Then he went 16-21 at Texas and had some of the worst defenses in the P5.

Now he just walked into a ready-made 10-win mid-major team.

I've never understood the affection people have for Charlie Strong. Having seen him recruit and work up close I can tell you that he has zero personality to be a head coach.

And Mack Brown went 8-5 and finished t-2nd in the Big 12 his last year. Charlie Strong followed that up with three straight 7-loss seasons.

Yea, I doubt Frost will leave UCF for UF without a significant increase. Same with Campbell from Iowa State or Deoren from NC St....they might be left going after a guy like Rovall or whatever his name is from Memphis.

Clint Hurtt. Currently coaching for the Seahawks.

As much as I love to see the gaytors be incompetent, it is weird to see this story out there with a coach who is 22-11 as a HC.

Also, I have a coworker who's a UCF grad and is pretty connected with their program. The main fear they have about Frost leaving is him possibly going to his alma mater at Nebraska. The Florida option exists also because his wife is big on staying in the area.

He is NOT a killer in south Florida recruiting. He had Hurtt and others cheat like crazy, and was competing against Randy.

This is annoying, took us 5 years to get rid of Golden and this dude bout to get canned in less than 3

Where the heck does UF find the money for football coaches when the Governor is cutting funding left and right? I will never understand the backward *** priorities of Southern capitals.

Pretty Simple:The evidence they have that he IS the shark humper will be miraculously "discovered" this week and he will be terminated for cause (PETA reps at the press conference).

What's he doing there? He can't be a recruiter and bagman for the Seahawks...he's got to find something else to do. What is it?

Yes, this is kind of sad for people who have a thing for marine life. They should come up with a sequal called Sharksexnado or something...

So sorry I missed the original movie. I really believe that such a thing might someday happen.

Anyone see the news reel at bottom of another game on TV quoting UF AD Foley saying there have been no conversations with Mac or his reps regarding buyout of contract? Thought it was hilarious and beautiful

After failing to find any evidence to substantiate claims made by McElwain this week that family and players received death threats, Florida administrators have worked to see if McElwain's allegations were enough to relieve the university from paying McElwain's full buyout of $12.9 million if he were to be fired.

Sources told ESPN that they believe the university has enough cause to fire McElwain without having to pay his buyout. Sources also said that if McElwain were to be relieved of his duties, defensive coordinator Randy Shannon would be asked to be the team's interim coach.

On Monday, McElwain, told reporters unprompted during his press conference that his family and players received death threats.
