He is only the 4th leader in wins amoung active FBS coaches. Guy knows how to win.. But his recruiting has been dog sht the last 5 years. Finally catching up with him. The size disparity last night was glaring.

easy money last night. GT just doesn't have the talent to play from behind against Clemson. that 10.5 line was a joke - all watson needed was a couple early TDs and he came thru.

Hoping Richt comes out with a similar game plan. If kaaya can get a couple TDs early and the defense shuts them out the first 20 minutes or so we will be perfect. just can't let them hang around cuz then we risk our defense getting gassed by the 4th quarter. if we have a double digit lead by halftime no way GT can come back

That 1960s offense was top 3 in the ACC for 10 years in a row. His crap defenses killed him before.. Now as stated his terrible recruiting has caught up. Before that had solid O-Linemen that could create those huge holes. GT led the nation for a while a few years back in explosive plays.. 30 yard gains up the gut and pass plays of 50-plus were the norm. They lost two WR to the NFL before last year believe it or not.

PJ is a great O coach if he has the horses. With average line play you can almost gauranetee positive yards every play. Its fun to watch when the guy goes for it on 4th and 3 in his own territory.. He just has zero chance now with small line men and skinny RBs.
 
With the horses the offense is awesome. Lot of deep passes to Waller, had an RB like Sinjun Days and look at the size of the O-Line. Night and day to what they trotted out last night.

luckily for us, manny diaz wasn't the D coordinator during that game

Their Defensive line can keep it close for a while. I can see them slowing down our running game.
But there is no way I see them slowing down out WRs and TEs. We should roll by the 4th quarter.
 
Canes simply cant afford to take for granted any team in the ACCCD...

Every division game is a must win or be ok with others controlling their destiny...

Win every snap or every game.

Its as simple as that.

With the D1 season now divided into "regular" and "playoff" seasons, rivalry games remain VERY important...but if the playoffs and an NC are the ultimate goal, unfortunately some rivalry contests will lose a little luster over time...even more so WHEN CFP expands to 8 or even 16...

Most important game of season so far is against GT...

8 game playoff would be best from a fans point of view

I think we score a good bit on their defense, but with our freshman LB's GT will have some success against our defense. It's all about our DL.

Why are you handicapping the freshmen? They've been in the defense the same amount of time as anyone else, flashed serious talent, and beat out upper classmen to get the spot.

I think that's a lame narrative at this point.

this ^

The most important game will be who's in front of us. Rankings and the rest will take care of itself. I'm more concerned each week with the team's overall disposition. The defense has come to play and the offense is starting to gain an identity. I want to see more focus and better execution offensively, start to finish.
