OT - Chan Gailey to the Dolphins as OC

Yeah why fire O’Shea ? Was there beef ? I guess him and Bailey have history but the only older coach I like in the league is wade Phillips

We are cursed with our SFLA teams. Shytting on National tv, shooting ourselves in the foot when success reaches our doorsteps, horribly incompetent hires, and on and on and on. There is a reason this State is shaped like a dyck with no balls on the map.

Greg Roman was a "retread", so there's that.

Greg Roman has been successful along the way.
- He was really good at Stanford before heading to the NFL.
- In 2011-2014 with teh 49ers, his offense was 11th in scoring 3 straight years (with Smith then Kapernick) before being 25th the final year with Kap.
- In 2015 and 2016 for the Bills and Tyrod Taylor, he finished 12th and then 10th in scoring as OC.
- He then was an assistant and TE coach with Harbaugh's brother once Jim went back to Michigan and took over OC this year with Lamar.

Gailey's last 3 stops?
- From 2015 to 2016, his Jets offense went from 11th to 30th in points, both with Fitzpatrick.
- In Buffalo, his offense was 28th in scoring in 2010, up to 14th in 2011, back to 21st in 2012.....all with Fitzpatrick.
- 2008 as OC with the Chiefs? 26th in scoring.

Gailey is an AWFUL hire.

Eh. I like the hire and the personnel moves it points to.

Hes a heavy 4 WR set guy. That old ******* was on the spread tip early in the NFL.

And couldn't make it work then. He's not an innovator. He's well past his prime and his ONLY link to this team is he's been OC for Fitzpatrick his last 2 stops.....both ending poorly.

The brass wants Trevor Lawrence. This year didn't matter as none of the qbs are worthy of the #1 overall pick. Hire makes sense in that context.

It's a Norv Turner hire. He will improve your offense drastically the first two seasons, but then it's all downhill from there, but Gailey will either be dead, re-retired, or promoted to special assistant to HC by then.

Gailey recruited Flores in High School. Jesus.

Hmm...looks like Miami keeps Fitz another year then packages enough draft picks to move to #1 in 2021 and take Lawrence.

I kind of like it...pass on a QB this year, reload at other spots. I can wait another year at this point being a fan since 1983.

Phins need to make Ngakoue from Jacksonville priority #1 this off-season to free up Wilkins or vice versa. Go hard after either a tackle or guard FA. Assuming they take Tua at 5, let Fitz helm QB and draft OL and CB talent.
