Lol....I'll take the word of an actual UM player, who happened to Star under him, and actually knows what tf he's talking about...Arguing with two people, one who played...and one who was there practically living at UM from 95-2000....smh...

You got dudes that have never attended a UM practice in their life and other guys who were still wearing diapers when Butch was here trying to tell guys that were in and all around the program at the time that they're wrong.

And if these Salty Butch hating Idiots knew who Brooklyndee was..they'd shut their F-ing mouths...Everything I stated and Dee stated is without a doubt 100% FACT.....To sit there and say UM approached Butch the last 18yrs, and he turned them down is complete BS....
 
There was NEVER a close relationship between Butch...Paul Dee and the BOT....EVER.....Butchs saving Grace was Paul D'mare and Stuart Miller...the rest couldnt give af bout Butch....same Asswipes that JJ bumped heads with notoriously, including Tad Foote....don't even get me started on Valerie Bass...I'll remain mum on her and a few more of them....

The nature of the beast... of course Butch would’ve taken another job by now anyway but if not he would’ve been forced to bc Miami not holding on to no HC for 20 years.

The only reason Butch was able to get the type of elite players to commit that didn’t see the field for 2 or 3 years is bc he was dropping bags simple as that. And the way the SEC and the NCAA works right now that shxt would’ve blew up in our faces and we would be in the same situation of trying to bring the U back with a new HC.

this right here, and i speak as a former player myself, not at U but a huge D1 non the less, wanted Butch back after LC, and ever since. The gift that he has you dont just forget, and i'm 100% sure his gameday is not the same as it was at his first HC gig, he has improved. I am also 100% sure Mork Rick will never get us back anywhere near the top, the dude seems 10 years older than Butch, no fire, no nothing, cant even seem to make his own mind up, and we aint done losin this year either. Glad Brooklyn chimed in, his opinion tops all the BS posts by the clowns on here who really dont have a F'n clue

and when i say clueless how bout the dude saying Butch got all those studs droppin bags lol, while on probation and under a magnifying glass, how's that for clueless

The only thing I'm gonna say on this topic is from 99 till now from both sides there is just too many hurt feelings on both sides. Butch felt like he was pushed out and several BIG members of bot feel he abandoned us when we needed him soon as he got a chance. Reality it's probably a lil of both. Egos can be a real issue with people. I just laugh cause there was such a large portion of the fan base that up till 99-00 couldnt wait to run him out of town. He was improving as a game day coach SIGNIFICANTLY but there was still issues. Just like all coaches they surround themselves with the best staff possible & learn on the fly.butch was no exception. Anyone that thinks butch wouldve been fired though is off on that though. We NEVER wouldve had a down time with butch still here. People dont realize how absurd the staff & assistants we had were. The culture was unstoppable. In the end the only things that stopped us were all in house.

Brother I respect your opinion. I'll agree that he wouldve taken another job by now. But as for being fired we have 3 coaches in our history that aside from internal conflict possibly causing them to leave results wouldve kept them here forever. Starts with schnellie & jj,ends with butch. Far as the rest goes as I said butch was learning on the fly. The responsibilities of a coach extend beyond what happens on the field. I'll leave that alone from there. The whole bags things though is nonsense. Butch didnt play that. Butch couldnt respect a kid that came under those circumstances. I can think of numerous monsters who tried to come like that & butch threw them out on their face. Literally in certain instances. I myself was very highly recruited. My family wouldve never let me entertain that but neither would butch have. I know of 2 kids during butch time that came attached with bags. & that was because it was handled outside of the program. As I said butch was learning about all the responsibilities of a head coach at a major program.

You hit the nail on the head our problems don't pay on the football field it's the politics inside the university.that's why it's taken so long to upgrade the facilities a and get the IPF.wished neither JJ or butch had left but they did got to move forward and hope someday we are back like in those days.
