Well while your there next time ask him why his **** game day coaching cost us more loss then I care to remember and why he blew it at Washington in 2000? Inquiring canes fans would like to know?

Ain’t never said he sucks but as I said Before, that’s great to sell a story or make a 30 for 30 movie but if you think Coker just sat on his hands and didn’t do sh*t while he was the coach that season than you just being gullible as ****. What we not about to do is give butch credit for wins he didn’t absolutely have for himself , it don’t work like that especially considering the fact that he’s shown he has had hiccups in terms of losing games EVERY year he coached at Miami/unc too. People try and change up history like coker didn’t play a significant hand in recruiting a lot of that firepower Miami had on offense in that time frame

Nah....I'm more interested in talking about Building The Greatest Team Of ALL Time, and what it takes....

I think Coker just sat on his ***, and years later the fruits of his labor were what got him fired. So I call that sitting on your ***, even Davenport said he did nothing. I trust those savages r telling the truth he benefited from what Butch built and no one will change my mind on that.............so agree to disagree

Really? Ok, well some say 2000 was even more talented then 2001 with the likes of dan Morgan, Santana Moss, Reggie Wayne Amongst many other great hurricanes on it. Oh and everyone else that was on the 2001 team as well. So again ask him about Washington and blowing our chance to blow out OK in our own facking stadium for the national title? Some of us would like to know. Oh and if he knows what it takes then why hasn’t he done it again yet? I mean that team was almost 20 years ago.

Brock....(and I'm being 100% straight) but Larry (who I Love) had little to do with much....Ask Brooklyndee if I'm being straight....You had an Excellent young OC Chuds....You had an Excellent DC in Shannon...The BEST WR coach in America Curtis Johnson...
The BEST RB coach in the NCAA....and a F-ing SLEW of future AAs...Pro-Bowlers & HOFers....ALL Larry had to do was step aside..and Clap after every good play (I'm surprised his F-ing hands didn't fall off)....And the single MOST important thing.....You had a Cerebral Field General as a QB....who spent his free time watching and studying Gamefilm, that even Veterans at UM said they never saw anything like it....If ya wanted to find Ken in 2001 when not in class....two places....
Either playing Video games with GF...
or at Hecht dissecting gamefilm....I'm sure without ANY doubt...@Brooklyndee will concur.....

His 1st season as a head coach, period, came as the man to lead a sanctioned Miami program. The sanctions were so bad, it was considered a step below the death penalty.

To go 8-5 including 1 - 1 against the AP top 25 and 6-1 in the Big East in his first year w/ a depleted roster is nothing short of extraordinary.

To go 3-0 in the bowl games w/ a depleted roster is nothing short of amazing

To load up a roster full of future HOF talent is nothing short of aw-inspiring since no coach, not even Saban himself can claim what Butch built here.

To lead the CLEVELAND BROWNS to their last playoff spot is nothing short of a miracle.

To make the University of North Carolina a relevant football program since they are nothing more than a basket ball factory is impressive, in itself.

And to take a chit stain program in FIU and lead them to the most victories they've ever had (tied) in their school's history in only year one shows that dude can still coach.

Context is everything.

If Butch came to us w/ head coaching experience, w/ what you posted, I would say what a chitty coach. Even back in the day, I thought he was a chitty coach, UNTIL, I truly understood what he actually inherited.

Go back and re-visit what he inherited here at Miami in the mid-90's.
Go check out and see what he inherited at UNC from John Bunting.
Go to look up what type of football program FIU is and what he inherited.
Again, Context.

Also, I'm pretty sure he mopped us w/ that dog chit UNC team 3 out of the 4 years he was there, including a 3 game winning streak.

Jesus this thread is cancerous. I’m too young to really have paid attention to butch but idk all I’m saying is when is the last time the browns been to the playoffs or won a playoff game ? Our coaches since him have been ******* terrible no sugar coating it
