OT- bud foster to retire after season

I don't get your angle here, @The Franchise. I despise Dook more than any basketball program on earth. Yet I couldn't possibly have more respect for Coach K than I do. Same sh-t with Bud Foster. He's one of the best DCs in the history of the sport. Period. Never had the top tier recruits most big programs get yet almost always had a fantastic defense. That's pure coaching.

It only takes a shred of maturity to realize you can respect someone for being great at what they do even if they don't wear the same colors as your own clan.

Can you really expect anything less from our fanbase? You can bleed orange & green while still being able to recognize greatness. Conversely having blind allegiance/loyalty only results in a fanbase that is misinformed or uninformed.

"Under Foster's tenure as defensive coordinator, the Hokies lead all FBS programs in sacks (856.0), sack yardage (-5,839), interceptions (380) and third-down percentage (31.5) dating back to 1996. Over that same span, only Alabama (16.3 ppg) and Ohio State (17.0 ppg) have been better in scoring defense than Virginia Tech (18.1)."

"Since the 1996 NFL draft, 45 of Foster's players have been drafted, with 11 going in either the first or second round. Cornerbacks Kyle Fuller, DeAngelo Hall and Brandon Flowers and safety Kam Chancellor are among those players."

Don't hurt yourself defending Bud Foster’s honor.

Rolling to what?.

Got**** UGA is full throttle and gets the top kids in the state and area.

I dont think GA Tech will ever scare me for eal. That bum *** offense is what kept them in alot of games.

Whether people admit it or not..Ga Tech has a greater tradition than hoe *** UGA. In addition they also kill them in academics and Atlanta is the mecca of college football. It's only a matter of time before their recruiting operations become next level and they're able to retain many of the elite in-state kids. Calvin Johnson wasn't an anomaly-there are many kids like that in that state. That bum *** Offense didn't keep them in games-it hindered their ability to recruit.

I honestly don’t think about him at all .. unless it’s to hate on him

That's fine, but there's no reason to be delusional. We as MIA fans should at least be able to give respect when its due. Especially when it comes to Bud Foster & Micky Andrews because in this profession both of those coaches are made men.

First, who’s being delusional.

Second, I don’t have to give respect to anybody because you or anybody else says I should.

So, no, that drunk gets no respect from me.

Oh, and also, fūck Micky Andrews and his enormous man *****.

Don't get annoyed because I'm actually knowledgeable about the game. Blind allegiance/loyalty is oblivion bro. All it does is make it seem like you're living in an alternate universe and are completely out of touch with reality.

Sucking off enemies of the U doesn’t make you knowledgeable. It makes you a priceless sad sack with no real connection to UM. I’ve forgotten more about college football in the last two hours than you’ve ever known.

The inability to show respect for adversaries is a sign of limited intellectual capacity IMO.

"The enemy". LMAO. He was a **** good coach for decades. If you can't take a moment to respect that, its on you and no one else.

Yea...no. I lived in Atlanta and they could care less about Tech.

The best kids from ATL METRO area will still consistently go to UGA....with some squeaking out to Auburn, Clemson, Bama, Tenn.

Tech is where you go when those schools aint that much on you..

Riiiight. LMAO. 1st of all..No, maintaining objectivity and being unbiased doesn't mean i'm "sucking off enemies, with no real connection to UM". Maybe that's the case in the imaginary world that you live in, but that's definitely not how it is in the real world. Again..having blind allegiance/loyalty doesn't make you a real fan. It makes you a mindless drone, that has become apart of a reflexive fanbase.

I've also lived in the ATL. But regardless i'm not talking about the past, i'm talking about what will happen moving forward. With Chan Gailey they were able to retain more of those elite in-state recruits because he was an NFL coach. I believe with Collins they will slowly begin to do that again.
