Tell me you don’t understand the difference in the situations without telling me you don’t understand the difference in the situationsbut, but, but, I thought with new contracts, attorneys involved it would take days..Lol…only st Miami
Totally agree. Heading into the SEC with a lifelong coordinator as your brand new head coach? Bold move, I guess.Would be a bad hire IMO, Venables is a lifelong coordinator type.
He’s a Bob Stoops disciple & was there for 12 years before he went to Clemson, but this is basically Oklahoma’s version of going “all Miami bro!”.
The logic is, since they’re going to the SEC that they’ll need a more Defensive minded HC & due to his time at Clemson is a good recruiter in the South.
However, this is a sign that Oklahoma as a program isn’t as highly thought of as imagined, they should be able to land a big time HC, settling for a DC signifies they’re not trying to spend a lot of money & they’re expecting to be a mid-level team in the SEC.
They’re basically trading in the Ferrari for a Ford Fusion sedan.
KIFFIN?A Venables/Lebby combo gonna be fun to watch.
This helps us a lot lol. Let’s see who Clemson snags
Don't think he's a fit there.KIFFIN?
I was assuming if Dabo bolts, misread the thread…Don't think he's a fit there.
Lebby is a bit overrated. He never called plays at UCF. Lane was heavily involved in the offense at Ole Miss. The only place he had full autonomy with playcalling was at Southeastern University, an NAIA school. So it should be interesting…..A Venables/Lebby combo gonna be fun to watch.
