OT - Bowls / ACC Teams

I pull for all ACC teams especially da ones Miami opened up a can of da whoop *** on. I want to see Miami ranked as high as possible after all da bowl games and it does not help when our opponents and da ACC look like crap.

Jimbo has got a big job ahead of him if this bowl game is anything to go by.

Down 31-14 to Wake Forest with 8 minutes left in the 2nd Q. :sanford:

Jimbo should have laid down the law with these kids and their effort today. You can't compete with quitters. Need to wead them out by their performance today.

He may have since they have taken the lead and he is in the press box.

I typically pull for ACC teams other than FSU simply because it helps with national perception (which matters, whether one likes it or not) of the ACC and therefore Miami.

That being said, watching these ACC teams has been pretty frustrating due to such terrible, sloppy play. As of now, 5 ACC teams have combined for 11 turnovers (checked to make sure I wasn’t imagining it), with FSU and NC State being the only teams without at least one.

Hoping this isn’t foreshadowing of Miami’s performance tomorrow. We’ve obviously been on the right side of that margin in most games

We were in a death struggle with this disgusting Virginia team. Can't explain that.

It is clear Virginia didn't prepare as they should have for Navy and when they showed-up to play the Canes they were a completely different team that was full of fire. Also, as you watch the game it is clear that Virginia does not want to be there most probably due to the freezing weather as those Navy MEN are MUCH tougher than most any team they play. Also, I guarantee you that during Spring practices and Fall practices Virginia devoted a goodly amount of time putting in prep for Miami.
Bull****.

But bowl game or whenever - anytime f$u, uf, o$u, or nd lose...it's a good day.

I agree with all that except fsu. With uf, osu, and nd, I'd be happy if they never won another game - but with fsu, i feel it hurts them more if they only lose to us! We play them every year, and it tortures them if it's Miami that ends their title hopes year in and year out.

Look no further than Bobby Bowdens quote. "On his tombstone will read…and then he played Miami."

Yes, it is in the best interest of Miami for the conference to do well in the post-season. I even don't have a problem with FSU winning their useless bowl game against a non-Big 5 conference team in front of 5K folks in an armpit area of Louisiana.

Agree to disagree my friend.

If f$u never won another game ever, I’d be ecstatic. Yes, there’s Bobbuh’s quote. But no, there isn’t any ‘mutual respect ‘ or garbage. We hate them and they can suck it. There’s no respect for them and their negative recruiting, paying off Tally PD, letting Jameis run a muck while kickng his roommate outta school for filming his rape, and so on and on and on and on.

Ruh roh, USC and their #1 overall QB (lol, he's dog****) are about to get rolled by Ohio St. 17-0 down and we've only just started the second quarter.
