OT - Bill Withers passes away

RIP, his rock n roll HOF speech is one of the best speeches I’ve ever seen

That's great, I will check that out.

I can say I was introduced to him the way that many millennials probably were, in 2 ways:

1. Fresh Prince of Bel-Air...the episode when will returned to Philadelphia and played Ain't No Sunshine on the jukebox and it skipped. One of the most memorable scenes from the series.

2. Soul for Real's "Candy Rain" music video. The cold open had the group singing an acapella version of Ain't No Sunshine. Classic.

Over the years I have listened to most of his music and gotten to love some of his songs, as well as some of his live performances on youtube. What a unique voice. Always heard/read great things about him. When the music industry loses someone like him it leaves a huge void that will probably never get filled.

RIP Mr. Withers

I should also mention how he is in that selective group of singers that you find yourself saying/asking "oh, that's a Bill Withers song?!". Countless classics.
