OT: BC vs Clemson

Recent National Titles will get you some clout. However, I did know some fans in 2001 and 2002 calling for Coker's head.
 
Clemson dominated the 2nd half. They are a better team with better coaches. Everything went right for BC in the 1st half (fumble return, offside on 4th down, TD catch off a deflection, offsetting penalties negating an INT).

Credit to BC for playing out of their minds in the 1st half, but the best team won.

You don’t know that much about the BC staff and don’t pretend you do.

I’m not defending Manny, he’s had some atrocious performances under his belt, but this constant juvenile and unrelenting negativity is hard to to read.

Dont take this as a personal attack, I’m just stating it as I see it.

We’re at an inflection point in the season and in Manny’s career. Better hope he figures it out or it’s wash rinse repeat for the next several years and several coaches.

I don’t pretend about anything. I’m calling it like it is. I’ve seen what they’ve delivered on the field today compared to our staff in terms of play calling, execution, playing inspired.... It’s clear as Day.

You often say you don’t defend Manny but then you jump in on people who refuse to dress the pig up with lipstick and call it pretty. It’s still a pig. I remember 3 weeks ago, I was agreeing with you in threads against the people going at Manny. I saw all I needed during and after the UVA game. You can keep on as you have and I’ll hope and root for the best but I don’t see it thus far and I’m not gonna put up a fake front to meet your sense of appropriate Cane fan behavior.

They couldn’t figure out south Florida recruiting. It’s the number one thing that any staff must do to succeed here. We’ve seen Randy and his ego destroy it. Golden and his elitist attitude continue the trend. Richt and his soft side lose every elite kid he could to the sec. This staff gets it. We have some growing to do, but Manny is learning how to be a head coac. If he fails, we’ll get someone elite, because we’ll have the athletes to win. I like and respect Pittsburgh’s, Virginia’s and Georgia Tech’s staffs too. However, we’ve got the right dog at the right time. Now it’s time to not lose coming off a bye week. We’re closer than people give Manny credit for. My humble opinion. Manny is very close to getting angry. If he finds his angry edge, he can stay. Dam Mario was the angriest Cuban I’ve ever met, He once trashed his office after a win. That’s manny’s greatest weakness and it’s almost gone. Last season cut him deep. It’s a good thing. You can see it on the trail. I don’t think any of those other head coaches have that edge. I’m willing to let this and the next maybe two seasons go to manny and his staff. Either way we win as a fanbase. South Florida recruiters aren’t a dime a dozen. He held last years together and has a good one coming off of 6-7. That’s as elite as it gets where it matters most right now.

Good recruiter. I hope it turns out the way you are thinking. That story about Mario - that’s how I wanted Manny to be after the UVA game.
 
You can like or dislike Manny, but every game day thread goes the same

Miami is not dominating - "Miami is average"
Other top 25 teams on our schedule loses/game is close - "underdog team is going to be tough"
Then nobody follows those teams for the rest of the year or looks at the schedule
BC is 4-3, with a 40-14 loss to VT and a 26-22 loss to UNC (who lost to FSU). Let's actually follow BC and see if this was a fluke or sign of things to come.
