just looks like the truth, im good with these things. Doesnt get nothing admitting that hes already getting exposure there

He gets a lot. Tons of people are googling his name now and learning about his canibus business. It is great tactic to getting people to learn about his business. Everyone knows the bag game exists, but 450k from ga tech that long ago sounds like BS. Look at the recent bag drops for colleges. It is mainly the sneaker companies dropping the big bags so these guys sign with them when they go pro.

Yeah, Louisville was recently caught paying Brian Bowen $100k, a five-star basketball player, in 2017.

But Georgia Tech or NC State (or wherever) was paying $450k for Al Harrington back in 1998.

Bingo. If you said $4500 and a used Oldsmobile, it wouldn’t have created much of a splash now would it? All of a sudden he wants to unburden his soul

GT used to drop big bags for basketball players. They consistently pulled elite players from the Northeast. One has to be very naive to think Kenny Anderson and Stephon Marbury didn’t command big dollars for their services.

Add Chris Bosh, Derrick Favors and Thad Young all top hoops high schoolers I’m sure got paid good cash to play at GT

450k is not going to convince a first rounder to not go pro.

FYI Al Harrington was arguably the #1 recruit in the country at $450,000 in ‘98, and someone compared him to $100,000 for Bowen who is a Top 15 recruit. Not even same ball park. I promise you $450,000 is a lot higher number now for the TOP GUY

And if he was going to make up a number for reaction purposes why wouldn’t you st least go $500,000 it sounds sexier or a million. I think he’s being honest, what does he care.

I live in Louisville and the word around here is that UK gave like 3/4 of a million for Anthony Davis and u already heard U of L paid 100K for Bowen. He may be telling the truth. GT has had some Top ranked 5⭐ players commit to them in the past.
He is was cheap. I always said Cam Newton was cheap. He brought them 75 million dollars in value for 500k. Cheap!

Because if he used a nice round even number even more people call him out on it. Actually 14 spots is pretty close. You are not going to spend 350k extra for a 14 spot difference. Not to mention 450k in 98 could buy a **** of a lot more than it does now.

This is obviously a little extreme of and example but you think Lebron James out of HS who was #1 was going to get close to the money #14 Bo Outlaw would be getting. NO chance. Not everyone is getting paid $450,000 but a #1 player in a class in 98 it’s not that fare fetched.

I don't think he would have landed 5x the amount as Bo Outlaw. I don't know if you remember when Lebron was actually coming out of HS, but looking at the past is 20/20. We all know how much of a beast Lebron is, but his junior and senior year we were not all that sure. There were HOARDES of people that thought Melo was going to be a lot better. There also was the whole Lenny Cook thing were people thought Lenny was going to be the next Jordan not Lebron. Right up until Bron beat him in that AAU league game.

Watch the ESPN 30 for 30 Sole Man. In the documentary Somny Vacarro mentioned I think it was someone like Bobby Cremons asked about some kid at a camp (forgot the player) and the individual said do you know Sonny and he said WHO. The individual told him don’t even waste your time going after that kid if you don’t know Sonny and it’s the kids Junior year.

I remember John Wall supposedly got all the money he received passed through his local church.

All I’m saying is everyone that doesn’t believe stories like this are foolish and people who think we lose everyone to bags is foolish. I think it’s more in the middle of both for the truth. EVERYONE does this, except some have a lot more resources.

I will say a school like Duke who got Zion, Barrett, Reddish and Jones, I promise they got paid well but a winning program like Duke can probably get them at a fair discount due to the success they have.

I think that’s what happened last year with Georgia and Bama. Bama lost some kids because Georgia had to overpay because of Bama success and funds.

It would be extremely interesting to see what goes on if we could get honest opinions for truth about what type of cash or incentives fly around.
