We are very close to getting the 300 applications we need to get a Canes license plate in NC. I'm sick of seeing UF and FSU plates here without having a Canes option. Let's make it happen! I have attached the application form and the email instructions are below:
Dear North Carolina ’Cane:
Thank you for your online registration and payment of $25.00 to order a UM North Carolina license plate. As a representative of the University of Miami Alumni Association (UMAA), I am following up with you to complete the final step in the application process required by the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (NCDMV), please see the updated instructions below:
1. Type or fill-out the attached updated UM North Carolina DMV application form MVR-27C (please fill out an individual application for each tag ordered)
2. Print out and sign the application(s)
3. Mail the original signed application(s) to:
Serina Gerundo, Senior Administrative Assistant, Development and Alumni Relations
UM Newman Alumni Center
6200 San Amaro Drive, Suite 200
Coral Gables, FL 33146
Please note: NCDMV requires the UMAA to submit 300 original signed applications for the production of the University of Miami collegiate license plate, so please feel free to forward the attached application and instructions to your fellow ’Canes.
Additionally, the attached application provides a section with three choices to personalize your UM North Carolina license plate for $30.00 (please include the check with your application). To ensure the availability of one your choices, please review the list below of personalized plates already requested, so therefore not available:
