3. BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - LSU “improperly compensated” a faculty member more than $400,000 in salary and benefits over a nearly three-year period despite the fact he later admitted he did not perform work for the university during that time, according to a new state audit.

“The faculty member knowingly received 38 months of LSU salary and benefits without performing commensurate work,” auditors said in a report issued Monday by the Louisiana Legislative Auditor.

4. BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A newly-released state audit has troubling findings related to LSU’s University Laboratory School (ULS) including questionable purchases and travel.

This will be ignored no differently than the other scandals at a school that should be on the death penalty for the number of admitted screwups, from getting caught with their hands in the bad cookie jar, to paying a former employee who didn’t do any work to snag $400,000 in pay and benefits, to some of their colleges getting busted for improprieties. If that happened at Miami, we’d be on permanent ban from scholastic sports. But not LSU, it’s nothing to see here kinda treatment especially from Emeritt who used to be the chancellor at the school. Unbelievable

So....

A guy named Richard Lipsey, who founded the Tiger Athletic Foundation, and is probably the most powerful man in Louisiana, and easily donates the highest dollar amount to LSU, penned this:

Its pathetic, yet damning. He is basically calling for the firing of the Prez and AD. But he is bringing up criminal activity at a time when the FBI not only has two investigations tied to the university (and potentially more), but has also an investigation into college admissions that could easily open back up.

What is interesting to me is that there is no guarantee that Lipsey will be innocent in the OLOL investigation. Either him or one of his foundations gives generously to the same charity that Funes embezzled from. This seems like a desperate cry to to make himself seem more innocent.

LSU brass seem to be in full panic mode. This could be a sh*t show

Using lots of that money to pay off players and families. How do you think they hide the money. Wake up people!!
Agree, trying to hide and slide that money. They can’t be that stupid,.. well yeah they are. Dumdfuks everyone, it’s what makes LSU great again.

And I wouldn't be surprised if Will Wade is reinstated tomorrow.

Rumor is that the Compliance Department made a mistake asking the NCAA to be in the room when Will Wade meets with Joe Alleva. Alleva, supposedly now has a nod from the NCAA that they are not looking in to LSU (yes, its a rumor)

How long did it take Miami to get and answer from the NCAA on Dewan Huell? Well, when LSU asked for and answer on Javonte Smart, a NCAA official flew to Baton Rouge to approve Javonte before the start of the SEC Conference tournament
