1. So Isaac Nauta really turned out to be pretty much a jag, huh? Gotta think he would've went higher than the 7th round if he came to TE-U.

2. Anyone know the backstory/rationale as to why that o-lineman from Wisky (Beau Benzschawel) went undrafted? Beyond Willis it seemed like he had the biggest unexplained freefall.

I was never impressed with Nauta coming out and figured he was a product of the hype coming out of the IMG academy

Nauta wouldn't have gone higher here. His athletic testing numbers were so bad he fell out of the threshold that most teams use for a draftable TE.

That's plausible on the surface but then go look at Kaden Smith's (TE Stanford) test numbers. They were amazingly even worse than Nauta's and he went in the 6th round without the benefit of the SEC or even high school recruiting hype.

It only takes one team, but for most part they were both off the board, but Smith did test better (with better hands & route running), but you're right, it was still bad.

Nauta:
40 Yard Dash, 4.91 - Bench Press, 19 - Vertical, 28 - Broad , didn't perform - 3 Cone, 7.45, 20 yard, 4.43, 60 yard, 12.26

Smith:
40 Yard Dash, 4.92 - Bench Press, 15 - Vertical, 32 - Broad, 108 - 3 Cone, 7.08, 20 yard, 4.47, 60 yard, didn't take
