Would love to agree with you but you are full of ****. Our inept coaching could have made things closer, but there is absolutely no substitute for bigger, stronger, better athletes.

I legitimately hate Bama going back to the 1993 Sugar Bowl. But to deny what Bama has is absolutely stupid.

don't give me that bigger stronger BS unless u can show me some numbers. People like you said the same BS when Shannon was here about S&C after loss to Wisconsin etc. and all this other BS then you see guys at NFL combine doing over 30 reps 225 (Vernon, Washington, Fortson). Same BS different year by some obscure poster saying whatever sounds right. Problem was coaching then and the problem is coaching now period.

Dumb. Very dumb, in fact. It's coaching AND talent. If you think Nick Saban can win the SEC with our squad as currently constructed, you literally do not know football. You actually think we have the horses on the OL, at LB and in our Secondary to beat very good teams - not good teams, but very good teams.

We need better coaching AND better talent. Not even debatable.

Miami had the players for a better showing vs bama plain and simple. You talking about bigger faster and stronger athletes is just simp. Talk on your part. Miami got out coached not out athleted.

Let me help you out, bama took advantage of tendencies especially on third down and mismatches in the secondary allowed by Diaz's dumb defensive play calling. That's coaching. Miami had similar advantages on offense they didn't take advantage of. Coaching. Plethora of Missed tackles? Coaching.

All true. But do you think St. Nick could win the coastal year after year with this team?

How many Coastal titles would he have, if he was here 10 years ago? Would Miami look like Bama today if he were here ten years ago?

If you can read which I am doubting very seriously, I clearly stated in plain English we need to upgrade both coaching and players and our overall program for that matter. If you can’t acknowledge the talent gap between us and Bama then I don’t know what to tell you.

Could we / should we have made it a better game? **** right. Was Lashlee’s play calling ***? Yep. But if you think for one second that better coaching is going to transform DJ Ivey’s cover skills or Bradley Jennings LBing skills or DJ Scaife’s run and pass blocking (I could go on and on but I won’t), then I’ve got nothing more to say to you.

You can only coach up players just so much. At the end of the day, we need more talent. The 2020 and 2021 classes are a good start to make up for disappointments of 2018 and 2019 classes, but we need more. Much more.

AND BETTER COACHING.

He definitely could win the Coastal each year. But he and any good coach would quickly realize a talent upgrade is needed to compete for titles so we’d be much farther along by now.

If our goal is to own the Coastal, then we’re good for the most part. If our goal is to compete again for titles, then coaching, talent, S&C, training, the whole program needs to upgrade.
