Would he have taken the job after Richt retired, and he had just started at Oregon? Supposedly a booster(s) offered to pay his then-low buyout and higher salary at Miami. Were there back channel conversations?

Now, after his extention, its a moot question, unless he has a 'Miami' clause in his contract and Miami was willing to make a change.

Mario is a Cane so I'm definitely pulling for him, especially against the suck eyes. But how are they any worse than those who are quiet after we win but stay piling on and trashing the program after a loss?

Makes zero sense.

Mario played here. He started coaching here, moving up through the ranks until he got a head coaching gig. He did as well as anyone has there, even da gawd Botch.

He loses his job and comes here for a minute before Saban calls with a job and more money. He turns that into the Oregon job.

He's a S FL guy. He was a **** good player here. He's made a good career in coaching.

The only reason you wouldn't like him is because you're butt hurt that he went to better his career and make more money learning from the best in the business. Best call he's ever made, the same any coach would make.

That or you called him a corch. You can't stand being wrong, so you want him to fail. Who wants a member of their family to fail? That's some weird stuff. The very definition of butt hurt.

Should Mario be our coach? Who knows, maybe and maybe the next time we're looking it's him or someone better.

What in the frick is the defense doing looking at wrist bands. That's idiotic. Even Manny wouldnt do that

So there's people who do nothing but root for losses for our own program because they don't like the coach we have instead.of piling for his success. I'm not in bed with any coach but all this rooting for Miami losses and trashing the program only does us damage.

Because our wins are vs Pitt and UVA, I can genuinely understand people remaining quiet during that time.
