OSU should be in the playoffs

If you want an 8 team playoff, fine. But make it the 8 best teams, not conference champions.

The concept of the "best" teams seams to be something you are struggling with. There is no way to tell who the best teams are except on the field. Eliminate cupcake scheduling, play a more full conference slate, and let the conference champs plus 3 at large teams play for it all.

If you cant beat a team in your conference, why should you be gifted a spot??

Yes, I believe that Ohio State deserves to be in the playoffs. Wilth that being said, ***** The Ohio Taint!

No, I don't like the idea of a 32 team playoff and I don't even know if that was a serious proposition. That would be overkill. There is no need whatsoever for that many teams in a playoff. 16 teams would be interesting but there is no need. An 8 team playoff would be ideal and spare me the bs about the number 9 team getting screwd. If you can't be a consensus top 8 team then too phucking bad.

They. could decide the 8 playoff teams the same way they are doing with the top 4 or the 5 power 5 conference winners plus 3 at large could work as well.

OSU lost to a horrific VT team. One the worst teams ever fielded by turkey neck and you think they should be in the playoffs? Lets just think about what stadium they were taking that *** beating in.

My proposed system would have resulted in this playoff scenario:

Five conference winners:
Bama, FSU, Oregon, TCU, OSU

Three at larges: Baylor, Arizona, Mich. State.......on the bubble would be Miss State and GT.

Not only would that be incredibly fun, but incredibly fair. I fail to see any scenarios this year or in any recent year in which some 7 win team would have made a playoff.

So we're putting in a team that has lost to 3 straight ACC teams ( VT, Clemson and Miami ) over a team that has won 24 straight against ACC teams?

The B1G sucks ***...

I most certainly understand your point and I have been saying the same thing for weeks. I just feel that OSU has improved since then and think they worthy of a top 4 ranking. We can agree to disagree. At the end of the day I still despise *** and the Taint. They probably wont get in anyway.

Sorry...but there's zero ******* chance OSU should even be in the discussion.

Of all the potential candidates for that #4 playoff spot, OSU has easily the worst loss on their resume.

Losing, at home, to a 5 loss V Tech team is a drop the mic and walk away kinda thing. I'm sorry but no team that loses that badly, at home, to a team THAT bad deserves to go.

If we're rewarding the body of work (who had the best season) then it should be TCU. The only reason this is even a discussion is cause it's TCU, a team with zero tradition.

Otherwise we're right back to a hybrid of the old system....get your loss out of the way early and you still have a chance based purely on the passage of time.

That's the #1 thing that bothered me about the old system...OSU getting in this year would simply rehash that garbage all over again.

Osu shouldn't make it. Baylor lost to a bad 7-5 WVU. But then Alabamas loss came to a 9-3 Ole Miss, and they're 1. Looks like the committee is interested more in who's best right now hypothetical.

I think both those teams would beat FSU right now, but they can't hose an undefeated right? It's going to be interesting to see who's left out.

Who do they deserve to go ahead of?

TCU is the clear #4....as I mentioned above the only reason this is considered "close" and/or a "controversy" is cause it's Texas Christian...a non ****, non historical program.

If we could play fill in the blank and replace "TCU" with USC, UT, ND, or Michigan it wouldn't even be a discussion.

Either one should go over OSU.

You can't lose to a 5 loss V Tech team....AT HOME....and be voted one of the 4 best teams in America. Sorry but if OSU gets in the system failed. Plain and simple.

Lets look at that O$Uck "Body of Work:"

A "Road" win "at" Navy, where it was mostly $ucknut fans (played in Baltimore)

A Home LOSS, in the Crapshoe, against VT. O$Uck has all the $$$ to recruit multiple blue chip QBs, the new QB excuse doesn't fly, especially since even Fattaweenie Alfredo's True Freshman QB beat VT in Blacksburg.

A Home win against Kent State, a school more known for a National Guard confrontation in 1970 than anything football related

A Home win against Cincinnati, a team Fattaweenie Alfredo also put 50+ on

A Road win against Maryland, that always dominate football powerhouse (!), May again have been just as many $Ucknut fans as Turtle fans

A Home win against Rutgers, another dominate football powerhouse (!!)

An OT Road win against sanctioned Pedo State, gifted by BIG officials who don't even throw flags seconds AFTER the play clock hits "00"

A Home win against Illinois...Didn't realize they even still had a football team

A Road Win against MSU. Too bad MSU's OOC slate was cupcakes with the exception of Nike U, who they lost to by double digits, Narduzzi or not...

A Road Win against Minnesota, a team that loss to TCU. No help there...

A Home win against Indiana...What BIG team who O$Uck played has beaten a Power 5 OOC? Only one, INDIANA, who beat Missouri. Yep, The $uckeyes need football powerhouse INDIANA to bolster their resume

A Home Win against now Hokeless Michigan

A win in Indy against a Wisconsin team who previously lost to LSU AND Northwestern...What is the excuse, the Badgers don't play against teams with Purple as a color?
