OSU should be in the playoffs

If we went to 32 teams and started the playoffs, it would all work out.

This current system sucks balls - and there will always be a few teams that feel they deserve to play, but just got cut out.

Simplest thing in the world. Power-5 conference winners plus 3 at large bids based on the rankings. Simple, fair, and fun. You can thank Notre Dame's ******ry of being an independent for being the stumbling block to this.

That would completely devalue the regular season. You could have a four loss team as Champion.

Yes, the NFL system is just so unfair and devalued. I mean it's not like the NFL regular season AND playoffs is more than three times as popular than the next most popular sport.......oh wait....

Imagine a 6-6 GT beating a 12-0 FSU.

You're one the best posters on this board. But this is a horrible post. College Basketball sucks dude. Don't need football to suck too.

Apples and oranges. CFB has 100 more teams to compare/evaluate.

Umm, this is what sports are about. Beat a team on the field in a gig that matters, and you are the better team.

College football has the best regular season in sports because every game is life or death.

In '12, we were set to play in the ACCCG at 7-5, say we win. We'd be more deserving than a one loss team who lost in their conference title game? Of course not.

So you don't think beating a team in a "for all the marbles" game has any value? When the Giants beat the Patriots, twice, you would say the Pats should just be handed the title b/c they were "better". But on the field, they had a chance to show who is better.

Agree to disagree. 12-1 as a complete body of work vs similar competition trumps 7-6 to me.

Apparently the "3 at larges" part went over your head. A one loss team whose only loss was in their conference title game would still get in. But if they didn't, too bad. They already had a chance to show they were better than a team who is in the playoffs, and weren't as good. Why should they get another chance?

Second of all, every measurable poll would show you that the NFL regular season is wildly more popular than the college football season. Now YOU may like college better, but an overwhelming majority prefers NFL.

Again, it's apples and oranges. there are 100 less teams. I'm not saying the NFL should pick up the CFB playoff system, so that's a strawman.

So in your opinion the Giants should have just handed the trophy to the Pats all those times? Pats record was significantly better.

How many power 5 teams are there?

I don't know which strawman you're arguing with, but he's an idiot if he thinks the NFL should adopt the CFB system.
