Prepared head to head? OU beat OSU that's what counts. If u like Lane better be mad about that that's ok....but recruiters win titles not x and O guys. Recruiting wins in college and if u want dominant teams u need dominant rosters littered with first rounders. Catches/blocking/a juke here and there....don't make them ballers......dominating because they can they are gifted like a Santana moss......we need big time players and they do the big things not a line on a piece of paper telling them to run a curl.......the gifted player makes the plays.

The reason all the coaches we have fired have failed have one thing in common. They all let a plethora of talent leave sfla while getting the third tier and wrong guys. That's what they all have in common

I understand he might be going through some personal issues but he's being paid LOTS of money to have his teams prepared to play, and they weren't prepared against the same team twice. Doesn't look good.

This is a valid response - he definitely did not look prepared tonight. Did other factors get in the way of this? Probably a little, but he'll be the first to tell you that's not an excuse. I expect much better hires at the coordinator positions, because a Moorhead and DeReuyter-esque combo again would be extremely disappointing.

Mario will stay longer and recruit harder. Lane might leave and he loves fishing too much lol
 
Granted it's Bama and everybody can recruit there but what a list. Hope he can recruit half as well at Miami with these can't miss types in south Florida

if recruiting wins titles how come mario has 0 he was picked few years ago as best recruiter in the nation. why is he just barely above 500 win % if he is the best recruiter ever, and has no titles. you don't make since. he's the best recruiter, but has no titles......

No, I don’t at all, I’m just not a worshipper.

I also get a kick out of seeing people put themselves through the ringer to take up for him because they’ve bought in so hard lol... Even if I was the most ardent Mario supporter in the world, I wouldn’t make nominal excuses for him.

I’m mostly just fckin with people, but it’s very similar to the Butch Cult, people get very sensitive about their guy lol.

I'm not a worshipper if he has the same weaknesses as the previous coaches when he's here I will sound off. If he pulls a recruit that's a bama lean from sfla then I'll be interested... but if a plethora of elite sfla ballers is still leaving to the elites then he will be out of a job like the others.

I think this is where I am too. I think Kiffin would be more fun to watch but Mario is better long-term for the program and is a great recruiter. I'll be ecstatic to have him as an upgrade but he doesn't walk on water.
