Oregon vs UCLA 3:30 pm

Texas is a horrible job , too much toxicity and chefs in the kitchen. It’s a lot like Alabama pre saban. The big boosters are running wild and pretty much run the show. They need a dominant personality with a real resume to get them to back off. Way too much politics and drama in that job.
I agree, and I don’t judge him for that stint. I think his time at Houston is a more analogous place for us than Texas.

None of that excuses his overall demeanor at Texas. He talked like a loser. He acted like a loser. He had the respect of nobody on his team.

Logically - with no ties to UM like Mario - why would a coach at one of these schools come here? I think a G5 guy wanting a step up or a Herman/Freeze type of situation is more likely to be attainable for us.
again u won't know the answer unless u try. there's no downside to being told to take a hike from chip kelly or anyone else.

if the university makes a credible presentation that they're serious about having a great football program again, then i think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the caliber of interested candidates.

in addition to the pool of high school talent in the area and the weather, there's no income tax in florida and there's a ton of business owners and entrepreneurs with money burning a hole in their pockets that probably would figure it in their interest to get on nil train, provided the product on the field is good

I just don’t judge coaches that’s been there , I know what a mess it is. Theres a reason no big names line up for that gig. Especially with all the money and resources they have.

I agree and I’d love Freeze but I don’t think they’d make the easiest, most sensible choice like that even after Jerry Falwell University cleans him up for us.

If Kiffin would leave Ole Miss that would be something. With buyouts and all this stuff, if they’re not going to look at Freeze, then Herman and the UTSA guy would be good options I’d think.

There is also Ed O. I think he's twice the coach Cristobal is, and is the same style (CEO, elite recruiter, hard nosed players) and would cost zero on the buyout and his contract could be 1/4 of Cristobals since LSU would be paying the rest.

And allow me to preemptively mock those dummies who will say he just "caught lightning in a bottle" as a criticism. Yes- that is literally his job and the job of all head coaches. Build a quality team, increase the win total each year, and then when the final pieces fall into place, the team is ready to make a playoff run.

OMFG the only way these refs can even think of throwing a flag for that is if the NCAA told them they would give them bonuses for the amount of targettting calls they make.

Because these refs arent that efffing stupid

Chip Kelly’s like talking about, Urban, Gruden, Fickell, Campbell… and every other coach who isn’t remotely likely. I’d rather focus on coaches we have a 25% and up chance with.

It represents duck diarrhea, they’ve ran out of ideas so they were like “ imagine if a duck with the shlts got loose in the locker room pre game”
Yes, as @OldhamA pointed out as well - it’s Jackson Pollock’s interpretation of duck diarrhea.
