Actually it was more like 45. Some of those 54 scholly players were injured on the sideline like Stingley.

There were plays out there when toney caught the ball and ran free...he was so wide open becuase the LSU DBs were actually limping trying to cover him. They literally didn't have any other DBs so gimp DBs had to cover people.
