Miami Announces Jersey Schedule

The Hurricanes revealed the jersey schedule for the upcoming season on Monday and it showed that UM will sport orange tops for every home game at the newly renovated Hard Rock Stadium outside of Oct. 1's meeting with Georgia Tech when they plan to wear green.

Miami went 3-0 last season in orange jerseys and was just 1-1 in green. UM also wore a black alternate uniform against Duke, but it looks like the black will not return, although it should be noted that the program's equipment staff hinted over the weekend that black cleats are back in the rotation.

I'm a big fan of alternate jerseys! Especially the ICE jersey we wore against Cincy. You look good you feel good. Miami has always wore alternates since the late 90s, why stop now? Just cause the sec doesn't do it now we won't???

unless it's a typo, i think that we're going to wear alternates for pitt. the font for the date is the only one on the orange days that is black instead of white.

I'm not one of he "orange jersey only" people but we shouldn't wear anything else vs FSU. That rivalry is too classic

I agree. I think the alternates we wore last year were awesome and would be happy to wear then again. But for the FSU game we gotta wear White lids, Orange jersey, and white pant when at home.

When we're at FSU there's more leeway because we gotta wear white no matter what (since they don't wear white at home like GT) so it wouldn't be too bad wearing a white alternate.

But Home games against FSU, we gotta wear the classic color combo.

Richt is a full blown traditionalist and will have us looking like Miami of old in no time. When he went to Georgia, the first thing he did in his first year was bring back the solid white stripe on the helmet. Plan on looking like Miami of old as long as he is here. He will make it happen.

We've never been all about having the same simple uniform throughout our history. We've been the opposite. OUR tradition is being progressive in regards to uniforms.

Agreed, But I think the team has to earn the privilege to wear that combo and then wear it in big games. Otherwise there's nothing special about it.

I love the note in the OP that we were 3-0 in Orange and 1-1 in Green. Like there is a strong correlation there. I'm guessing we wore orange against some pretty terrible teams.
