Orange Bowl OG's please answer me this.

If we build some great Canes teams like those days promise the Rock will build its own rep.
This

Its always about the team, if there good people will show up and go crazy and it seems like UM has young crazy fans instead of 75 year old bama fans and other schools that cant even scream without an oxygen tank.

When Carlos Jones picked off the Pass there was an insane roar....but when he crossed the goalline, it was like an Atomic Bomb went off....LoL...I was sitting with wifey in the WEZ in Jones direct path....
Was sitting in the upper deck, south west corner of the stadium that night. I remember I was with 3 buddies and I almost got knocked over the railing by one of them as we were wildly jumping around after that play. Also remember, as the game ended, looking down into the WEZ and seeing a Canes fan snatch the hat off of a FSU fan and throw it high into the air, lol. Boy, it must have really sucked being an FSU fan that night and having to walk out of that madhouse after a game like that..

hmm I said in the other thread that game directly compared to 03 VS UF at the OB... brock berlin rally from 24 down I think? I remember at halftime in line for some grub and my grandfather was like lets go home and I was like no lets stay and see the first drive of the 3rd... glad we stayed.

I was not there in person yesterday being out of the country, but my friends whom have been to both basically say that the VT and ND games, as well as last night were just like the OB.

NOTHING will replace the OB shaking on 3rd downs though. It just felt different.

That being said, tailgating and overall experience are much better at the rock, so I am glad the experience is now on par with those two big positives.

McGahees 72yd screen in 02 is up there as well....and it was HOT AF......
I remember halftime at the 89 UM vs ND game was like the game never stopped....Incredible noise for 3hrs

Laugh all you MF-ing want......But Prince at the OB in 89 was Ed Reed GOAT.....There was so much fine Puzzy there that I almost had a coronary.....

1989 UM vs ND was the Loudest game (from start to finish) in OB History, Dolphins or Canes...You literally could not hear yourself think...

The two I've watched on Youtube was the '89 Notre Dame game and the '85 Bears game. I couldn't tell you which was louder. The '85 Bears game, it sounded like the stadium was full of pitbulls and the refs were waving a baby in front of them at the 50 yard line.

Its the only game I saw where the refs were pleading for the crowd to be less loud.

The '89 Notre Dame game had an out of control crowd, people hanging from the rafters. Half a shade below the reverence of a riot.
