Per 247's Ryan Bartow:

Usually when LSU defensive backs coach Corey Raymond, one of the nation’s best at his craft who doubles as an elite recruiter, finds a defensive back of his liking it turns out to be a legit find.

Few secondary coaches in America have the track record as does Raymond.

He’s starting to show interest in a 2015 cornerback, Anthony Pearson (Vero Beach, Fla.), that blew up as a senior.

Pearson, without any offers, intercepted nine balls this season. He racked up 68 yards in returns on those picks including one for a touchdown.

To go along with his ballhawking skills on his senior film, Pearson has the 6-foot-1, 185-pound size and 4.48-second speed in the 40-yard dash that college coaches covet.

Pearson's a HS teammate of 2016 recruit and Cane legacy Patrick Bethel. Since it looks like we're not going to land any of our top DB targets other than Jaquan, what does everyone think about grouping this kid in with the likes of Fenton, Redwine, and Hoggins as a potential backup plan?
