Miami is going to Adidas version Oregon supposedly so I would imagine being the competitors main school would turn nike off slightly from picking alot of Miami's committed recruits more so then the usual Recruiting services bias towards miami due to our small subscription base.

An now with the proliferation of free content sites like this one and Cane Shades Radio podcast those subscriptions numbers are dropping even faster. So Miami will need to win and win big to stay in the media eye.

**** even within the state of Florida there is a lot of anti-Miami media bias. In Central Florida I know the TV sports media go out of their way to deliberately omit UM news during the sports segment of the media broadcast. I remember last year during the WFTV-ABC high school football media days here in Orlando the reporter openly asked 2015 RB Dexter William in a very condescending way he committed to Miami and then said toward the interview we will see where you end up.

Here is a link to the edited video (the raw live video was much worse)

Not only is the bias evident in the media, but walk into any store that sells college merchandise here in central fla. You see fsu, uf, ucf, and usf items. But its rare to find something um related unless you go to one of these stores that specializes in sports memorabilia......

That's not called bias in regards to what the stores have in stock, it's called carrying what will sell. If there was a demand for Australian Rules Football gear, the retailer would stock it. Simple retail rule, carry what sells as it's they're number one priority to generate sales.

As for the other supposed bias related to our recruits rankings / stars, find me one Fan base in the entire country that doesn't think their recruits are underrated. Every fan base thinks their guys deserve more recognition by and large.
Call it what u want. Its hard to walk into a retail store around the Tampa area and find anything Hurricanes related. I bet these same stores would sell more Miami gear then they would UCF, and he even USF gear. The only people who support USF are alumni.

I believe the stores are merely acting in response to the power of this website. The masses declared that no more Miami gear would be purchased and the retailers adjusted accordingly. You underestimated the power of the people.

We have about 4 - 6 kids in this class, that maybe the Alabama's, FSU's, UGA really want with a committable offer. Sad how insecure the fan base has become around here.

Do you really believe there are only 4-6 verbals in this class that the Top 10 want? I would say the reverse, that there are 4-6 they don't want.

sticking by 4-6.

Addidas needs to go "all in" in South Florida and promote the **** out of a similar event to The Opening. Start now to plant the seed for attendance next year. This can only help their business going forward while increasing exposure for The U and top level recruits. If Addidas is truly going to compete with Nike, they need to appeal to the kids in a similar fashion.
