Open practice

Hopefully we'll have a lot of new material to grouse about very shortly.

Completely disagree with you. I can tell you several things you can look for on Friday but I will give you a couple:
1. Qb mechanics including footwork, have they all improved.
2. Timing with the skilll position players.
3. How many balls do wr drop?
4. Practice should now be fluid, no time to be teaching practice speed
5. Corrections from coaches on the little things.
6. Do they finish their drills correctly?

Yeah, nothing to see. Smdh

You'll see pretty much none of this. But yes, enjoy yourself.

My buddy was listening to Manny speak yesterday in CG, forget where, but he called me and was all fired up afterwards.

One thing he highlighted from Manny's speech was #5 & #6 - doing the little things correctly, highlighted an example of a guy that was busting his *** during shuttle drill, gave it his all, but barely missed touching a cone - do you make him do it again after such great effort?

He made him do it again. It is quite often the little things that can make the difference.

Pete Carroll used to do this at USC and I was always jealous of the competition it encouraged and the openness of the entire program. I couldn't explain to you why, but it always felt like those Carroll teams dominated on Saturdays because of how many eyeballs were on them during the week (if a player was slacking or being dominated at practice, he heard about it the next day, etc.)

For those going tonight UM just released a statement. If there’s lightning practice will be moved indoors and therefore fans won’t be able to go inside.
