To Dr. Julio Frenk and The University of Miami Board of Trustees
I'm calling for the immediate termination of Mr. Blake James as the Director of Athletics. Mr. James has failed to strengthen the academic and on-field performance of the department he oversees. His lack of judgement and leadership has put the department and university in a precarious long-term position.

The young men and women that occupy our athletic department, are some of the most talented and hard working individuals in the world. What are we teaching them by allowing Mr. James to remain in a position he did not earn? He was made Director of Athletics, not because of his professional qualifications, but a result of two rapid departures from his predecessors and the departments entanglement with the Nevin Shapiro scandal. His previous role at the university, revolved around ticket sales. His stint overseeing Maine's athletic department, whose total sports budget was ~50% of just our football program, does not make him qualified.

It is easy to read this note, after an embarrassing showing by our football team, as an emotional "tangent;" however, the situation with our football team is a microcosm for Mr. James' entire employment. He hired a football coach, without conducting a search, interviewing or qualifying candidates. Instead, he made a decision to hire someone, like himself, who did not earn the position to lead this storied program. The state of our football program is the result of gross mismanagement and a lack of qualifications.

This community has given Mr. James every opportunity to be successful - most notably increased contributions to improve facilities and personnel. He has not reciprocated the investment quality, and as a result, must be asked to leave.

Please take the necessary actions urgently!

It’s not even just football. Our 3 biggest sports haven’t done much the last decade. We are going nowhere

OP has an open ******* .

Frenk can’t and ain’t doing ****

Frenk is too busy running the academic side of the school into the ground. That's a full time job. No time to worry about the athletic program. James will burn it down by himself.

Puff the magic dragon lived by the sea...

Man, the posting quality sure is impressive tonight
