Uggghhh!!!A 1 loss Miami gets in the playoffs this year. Probably best if Miami wins out and Virginia/gt wins out as well so we don’t play the acc championship game
Not reality. We won't even drop out of the top 12 this week. There's no way we're going to go DOWN if we finish 5-0.Why do you think that exactly? If ND doesn't beat USC, we will finish with 0 ranked wins - which they literally just shifted to value more. And if we aren't even in the ACC CG, we are absolutely ****ed from that perspective as well.
Our best hope in that even is to literally STOMP on everyone. I'm talking we have to try to win our next 6 games by 50.... From start to finish we have to be aggressive and dominate.
If there are two teams in the ACCCG playing with only 1 (or 0 for GTech) losses, both them can EASILY get in the CFP over us. And good ******* luck having the ACC get 2 teams, let alone 3...
We NEED to get into ACCCG and win it. period.
If Miami finishes up 6-0 in their last 6 games, 100 % they are in. It is perhaps a bigger IF than maybe we would like to admitNot reality. We won't even drop out of the top 12 this week. There's no way we're going to go DOWN if we finish 5-0.
I’m not so sure about that. Miami will bunch up with other one loss team even wi the acc and then you have to count for sec n big 10 bias sooo it can scary for MiamiIf Miami finishes up 6-0 in their last 6 games, 100 % they are in. It is perhaps a bigger IF than maybe we would like to admit
One issue is the we only play smu and Georgia tech n Virginia don’t play each otherWe've lost control of our own fate in the ACC. We have to hope that Duke, Ga Tech , UVA and right now, SMU, take a loss and we have to win out. They need to beat up on each other.
Doesn't matter if we win out we won't be in the playoffs, we have to make the ACCG to get a shot. I don't know why people don't see this. They will not take 3 teams from the ACC.
Miami, essentially, has been eliminated. All losses are bad but this one is really bad. Georgia tech n Virginia (Virginia beat Louisville already so there goes a tie breaker) are undefeated in acc play and the don’t play each other. If they win out, Miami is out of the acc championship (assuming we win out which is very possible) the wild cards are duke n Pitt for us. Btw manny’s bunch are also undefeated in acc play. Am I missing something here or we really screwed?
I think that scenario plays out with a second loss for certain.I’m not so sure about that. Miami will bunch up with other one loss team even wi the acc and then you have to count for sec n big 10 bias sooo it can scary for Miami
Right. We ain’t winning out and are probably dropping 2 more. Comical to look at the evidence at hand and think otherwiseThis "assuming we win out" stuff is getting absurd. Did you all just become UM fans in December 2024?
But with 2 losses ND might very well take that 12th spot on the argument they’re loss to us was week 1 with a new qb on the road and multiple injuries at key spots and they still almost won.Well if the Virginia vs Georgia tech scenario plays out we might be out of the playoff too because Virginia beat Louisville. We would have to root for nd to win out. Chit got real !!
Very real possibilityBut with 2 losses ND might very well take that 12th spot on the argument they’re loss to us was week 1 with a new qb on the road and multiple injuries at key spots and they still almost won.
Especially with 20 teams or whatever it is now. Even before last night there was a very real possibility Miami, UVA, GT could all go undefeated in conference leaving one out of the championship game. The fact acc doesn’t have division’s anymore is retarded. I digress.
True but strength of schedule would had separated us from the rest for. CfpEspecially with 20 teams or whatever it is now. Even before last night there was a very real possibility Miami, UVA, GT could all go undefeated in conference leaving one out of the championship game.
Um South Florida might be in the playoff..Notre Dame wining out now it’s important because that win is the only one good win wo would have so one loss Miami vs 2 loss notre dame increases the chances of getting into cfp wo conference championship
The Biggest problem with college football is that the conference’s are too big thus making unbalanced schedules within the conference. The fact acc doesn’t have division’s anymore is retarded. I digress.
