Whip Pitts *** and then whip whomever we play in the bowl. Then somebody might try to take him away from us. Rumored as a darkhorse to Michigan. UVA, Rutgers and Illinois are also other potential destinations. His coaching style is not built for south fla.

Michigan hasn't even hired an AD, so any talk of coaching rumors is completely devoid of substance.

Golden would be a great fit at Illinois ... They're the best shot to have an interest.

The problem is, the guy they are going to fire actually won the MAC while he was at Toledo ... He also won a bowl game.

Unless Golden can get a bowl game victory, and sell them on his co-coastal championship from from 2012 (I know, I know) ... We're stuck.

The only potential saving grace? Their current AD, Mike Thomas, had an interest in hiring Golden away from Temple to coach Cincinnati when he was their AD.

Don't get me wrong I would love it Al went to Michigan. We get a new coach and Michigan fans go absolutely ape **** with such a mediocre hire. I just don't see it though. What AD would bet his own career by back golden given his record? Only a real idiot......

Illinois would be a good fit. They have about the same amount of student support as our football program. So Al should be comfortable.

To hire Al Golden, a University would have to be deaf, dumb, and blind - a University with an AD who doesn't know siht from strawberries, a President ****-bent on destroying the football program, and a Board of Trustees who's cricket sticks are so far up their asses, they can't even SEE the athletic department.

A University who . . . oh.
