Key word search- " realistic".

There is no realistic chance MD is fired regardless, so lets pass on that.
1. Manny take some time for SERIOUS reflection on what went horribly wrong this year. We have no idea what the internal workings of the staff and players was/ is, but for sure it needs addressing. Too much focus on swag. false ****iness perhaps? Regardless of what it is, he HAS to assess everything and everyone;
2. Manny fires Baker. He needs a coordinator with more experience there or, he takes it over as DC and thus has an extra coaching spot open;
3. He demotes Enos to QB/ AOC and hires a coordinator for the modern age who understands he will NOT be working with Clemson/Bama/Ohio State talent but lesser talent, thus runs a spread type open offense.
4. A new seriousness of focus is implemented. Hard work and not bling is the theme. This is a SOFT team. Soft. That has to change.

A sober realistic review of 2019 would reveal the 2 coordinators were underachievers, something a first year HC didnt need and couldnt ovecome.

Next year's schedule will be softer than this year and virtually everyone comes back.

If we cant win 10+ in 2020 then I don't know what to tell ya.

Dan Enos taking a demotion is not realistic. AT ALL.

Agreed Enos wont want that, but there is no objective evidence to support his being retained in same spot for 20.

The reason Golden got fired and Richt left were the same- refusal to fire/ move coaches.

Following those examples will be fatal for Diaz here. And Enos is not a high end nor even a mid tier OC.

CFB is all about scoring. We rank in the lower half in most offensive categories and last in the country, LAST!!!, in a vital one- 3rd down efficiency. Any coach will tell you that 3rd down is the money down. Even if you dont score , first downs rest your D, and flip the field.

Without being a Chicken Little, how can any program, whether its Northern Iowa or Miami, justify last in nation?

Enos has to be completely removed from the staff if he’s not being retained as OC. You can’t keep him around as a position coach.

We’re definitely losing to Sparty. They aren’t that good but they play a higher level of football than this shytshow is capable of anymore. I think we lose to UAB andTemple also We can’t beat UVA at Charlottesville. Based on what I’ve seen this year, we can dog it again and have a losing season.....easily.🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮

I have zero faith in Enos to call a good game that an intelligent opposing coach can't see coming. Butch Davis showed exactly how to do that.

I have little to no faith that Baker can focus his defense without Manny looking over his shoulder.

Agree, that he shouldn’t be back unless Diaz is the one that wanted Enos to run this “mismatch creating, cutting edge offense”. Good Barry Jackson article that I think most of us can agree on the offensive philosophy we need.
Hurricanes need another offensive overhaul
