As I understand the convoluted contract, Al's attorney required UM not to require a coaching chance before February 20, 2016 to avoid the buyout. Of course, that was smart by him. It effectively kills canning Golden before then, and damages the 2015 class. But, as SOME point, UM must decide, do we want to be relevant again. There isn't a chance, that, after inviting all of the recruits to come to this game, that ANY of them want to play for AL. I CAN NOT imagine a single defensive player who would think as a recruit, EVEN FOR A SECOND, that this program is where I want my future to be. So Blake has to decide. Do I pull the trigger before then, or lose EVERY recruit we have for the next four years. If you can't see NOW, we don't have the TALENT how would anything improve by keeping Al until February 20, 2016. If you keep Al until then, you save 4 million or so, and **** the program until 2018 at the earliest and that is IF, and this is a big IF, you hit the HOMERUN on the replacement. If you don't, your program is HISTORY!!! Any sane man makes the move now. But I have yet to see anything from Blake James that makes me think he is SANE.
