8 ACC games, LSU, and Toledo. I figure we will throw in a D1AA school like Savannah St or FAMU or Bethune without much scheduling needed, but who will the 12th game be against?

Am I missing something here? I saw in another thread that we were playing FIU but I've read that game was pushed back.

Thanks in advance.

We are going to play Arkansas State twice to make up for missing the game this year.

He said as far as he knows. So no, he wasnt sure.

My fault, wasn't sure what Afaik meant. Duly noted! Seems like we are getting pretty close to being desperate to scheduling a 12th opponent if in fact we are not playing FIU. Has anyone heard any rumblings of who this may be?

According to their fans, all eight of them, we are going to travel there twice and lose by 40+ each time

Scheduling Savannah St, Charleston Southern, FAMU, Bethune and those teams is total BS. Who the **** wants to go watch a 55-0 beat down.. At least schedule aG5 team that can give the team a workout for a quarter like Toledo.

We're actually playing @Toledo next year as part of the home and home from 2017.

Breaking in a new QB, we can use a game like that.

I would like to see us schedule an average to below-average power 5 team from the Pac 12, Big 12, or SEC. Maybe, for example, teams like Kentucky, Oregon State, or Kansas.

If we cannot do that, I would hope, at the very least, one of these two "mystery" games is another solid G5 team, like Toledo. And for God's sake, if we're going to schedule a cupcake, can it please not be Savannah State — one of the worst Division 1AA schools.

How about a crappy Division 1 team from the Sun Belt or Conference USA, instead? Scheduling crap Division 1 teams like Old Dominion, Buffalo, and UMass are way less embarrassing than Savannah State or Bethune Cookman.

Interesting. I thought it was already Savannah State. Guessing that changed.

The Savannah States and Bethune Cookman's of the world can probably be scheduled with only 5-6 months notice and you can basically pencil some D1AA school as one of our home games. That other open slot is a serious concern (if in fact it is not FIU). No idea what the **** the school is thinking trying to fill that game on such short notice.

It's all about $$$$$. Whatever cupcake is willing to take a trip to Miami to lose badly for the least amount of cash.

Yea that's what I was wondering. A lot of the FBS schools don't really have open dates this late in the game. Hope we can find something because if I remember correctly only 1 FCS game/team counts in the grand scheme of things.

^^^^ this

Only one FCS game counts toward bowl eligibility, and I would prefer not to have a Wisconsin-esque schedule this this year. We should be challenging these kids, not finding a last resort game to play someone.

we play LSU opening week of season.

I know that, but they will still need reps for the rest of the season. Basically a glorified practice.
