One thing remains the same.

So what in the ***** name are you suggesting? We accept being mediocre?

I'm suggesting that people don't jump off a ledge.

Those players played four quarters and never gave up. The game literally came down to a couple of plays. Semi-decent kicker, we win. Bandy doesn't get beat like a drum, rarely happens, we win.

The season is far from over, but teams don't go from our record last year to one or two losses in their first season with a first time head coach. You want to see improvement. We've seen improvement, just not enough to pull these two wins out.

That’s exactly what half the people on here are saying. “New staff, blah blah blah.” Even though we are more talented than everybody we play we should accept that losing to them is gonna happen. That’s why we are in the same spot we were 15 years ago. It’s a losers mentality

You dont understand

Only in miami it takes 2 decades to learn how to win

Be patient

There's a lot of posters here who overreact to things.

In case you forgot, we are attempting to crawl out of the dumpster. We owned this game. Time of possessions, killed it. Overall possessions, killed it.

We made some bad plays that really, really hurt. FG's and the extra point, no explanation needed. Bandy getting absolutely wrecked on the the long TD for them. He's a good player, nowhere near top 5 in the country some were selling earlier in the week, but by far the best we've got. Those issues really stand out to me.

We're thin and young all over the place. These young cats know nothing but losses, so in a tight game, they've gotta learn how to pull it out. It wasn't going to be fixed overnight.

Football isn't played in a vacuum. UNC got their tight win last week. Mack, people used to talk all kinds of **** about him, but he's a competent coach for sure. Their QB, I prefer ours, showed a lot of moxie. He put the ball on the money enough when it mattered. Their go ahead TD, good pass, phenomenal catch that doesn't happen most times.

Sucks, but those proclaiming Diaz is the Cuban Al Golden are foolish. Is he the guy to get us number six? The odds are against him, but is that even our goal anymore by the administration? Hopeful they may be, but he didn't have the resume to suggest that's their expectations deep down.

We all want a return to glory. It could still happen, but this was never going to be the year. Fan expectations are always off kilter. We fielded a viable team, have a QB finally, but the horses we've gotta get better there. Our senior LB'ers are average. DT, thin as **** depth. Corners, young and may develop, but not there yet and we've missed a lot. OL, showed improvement, going to leave it at that. WR, Smurf ball with big guys who are largely unreliable. RB, tough and gritty, but lack of homerun speed that many others would've housed on the longer runs.

So step back, think, and understand who we've been. You do that, you're not freaking out over this.

Edit: Diaz is learning as well. Assistants, this is a step up for most of them. Quality of opponent wasn't what it was last game, then again those venting were quick to label UF a 4 to 5 loss team come seasons end. This vame and that one, both could've gone our way. I hated the Shannon hire, didn't like Golden, and I thought Diaz was lazy. They put work in, got JW time with a bad OL, and improved there. They can all improve, it isn't all negative. I never felt that way with the last 3.

You know who else was trying to call out of the dumpster? A much bigger dumpster than we where in? UNC. You know who is even thinner and younger than us? UNC.

Your edit is the problem. This is not a “learn on the job” program. We were hemorrhaging from the Richt hire, so ur solution is to hire an unproven guy?? Again??!!!

And no more young talk. I just watched a very young SC team dismantle a top 25 team. Meanwhile in Coral Gables, we got dismantled by a true freshman that’s taking over a team that won 2 games last yr.

Don’t reply, bro...just let these points marinate so u can understand the disgust among us.

You know who has a first year HC and is "crawling out of the dumpster"?

2-10 UNC.

Suck my ****.

They have a HC who knows more about winning than our entire staff combined. We came off a loss while they came off an exciting win, played at home, etc.

We dominated every stat basically. Kicking game cost us and one blown coverage. That's sport, but to suggest it was a **** show is full blown ******.

Jeff Thomas doesn’t drop a punt, we beat Florida. If our defensive coordinator doesn’t go full ****** on a 4th and 17, we beat UNC and hold them to 3 points over 3 quarters.

Manny is a gawd, the U is back, and we’re talking about going undefeated on the season with a freshman quarterback.

Instead, fire everyone and fold the program.

Some of you are insane.

No such thing as what ifs. Results are what matters

At least you concede the coaching staff is a ******* disaster.

Did I ever say at any point ever that this was a learn on the job hire?

In our minds it isn't. The administration thinks otherwise though as evidenced by their hire. Why that is, it's open for debate.

We all want championships as fans, but do we have the motivation monetarily to do what it takes to get there? Coaching staff, doesn't look like it, again by the hire.

You can try and dismiss young, it plays a part though. Combine that with a staff that is still learning, thin depth chart, what in the world do you expect? We aren't bringing in Urb level coaches, so let's be real with turnaround expectations. Mack is still more of a coach than Diaz, but that may change in time.

People here paying too much attention to that Jerseys tonight and the distant past. We've been dead for awhile, can we get back up?

You see this post would be fine if we lost to Clemson, or bama or UGA like this. But we lost to a team who is less talented then us in basically every spot.

Talent isn't **** if it isn't molded correctly. Games aren't won on recruiting star ratings or we would've been top 25 the last decade and a half. The talent we do have is used to losing, gotta change that.

You think that changes overnight?

Ppl are upset cuz they lost to unc.

What do You want from them

I don’t want ****. I’m merely pointing out how insane some of them are. New coach. New coordinators. New quarterback. New left tackle. Open the season against your two toughest opponents away from home. Lose both by a small margin. How is this shocking? Now we got idiots saying we should’ve hired Butch...care to look back at what good ol Butch did in his first 4 years? How about Dabo? Or JJ? How’d he fare in his first year at Miami?
