One thing I will say about richt

The long passes on 3rd down aren't really on him...

On 3rd down & 5 early in the game when Kaaya threw that deep ball to Coley (who was being PI'd), Joku was actually wide open underneath on a crossing route... He even used the ref in the middle of the field to slip his defender & had plenty of running room.

Kaaya just plain didn't see him, he determined before the snap he was just going to launch it to Coley, luckily we got bailed out by an illegal hands to the face penalty. But that wasn't on Richt's play call, that was on Kaaya's decision making.

Same thing with that 3rd & short where he overthrew Joku in the end zone by 60 yards, he had open underneath routes that he just decided not to throw to.

There was also a 3rd & 2 in the game where he could've literally power walked his way to a 1st down, but he just couldn't process quick enough & got sacked.

Im glad you started paying attention.

You were scaring me hopping on the "Richt needs an OC" train.
I still think he needs one, because it would make his job that much easier, but I know he's not going to hire one, so it is what it is...

Hiring another set of eyes would only help not hurt... But, again I already know it's not happening, so I've moved on.

Also, I resent that "paying attention" shot... Lol
I understand you're a genius, but just because someone has a difference of opinion doesn't mean they're not as informed as you.

lolol shut up! I never said I was a genius. A-hole.

I just think its absurd to call for those things without giving the guy a year to implement his system and ideals.

I disagree on it helping and not hurting. A lot of coaches are ego maniacs, especially offensive coaches.

Richt hiring one good enough and humble enough to just " help out" would be **** near impossible.
I respect that... It just hit deafcon 1 during that 4 game slide, but I see what you're saying.

For the most part Richt is following his MO

Bobby Petrino IS head and shoulders above Mark Richt as a head coach. He's going to prove it this year by getting himself into the final four without ever playing for a conference title. If he had the talent Mark had at UGA the years he won 11 or 12 games he would have won a MNC. I know he is a bit of a dirtball, and Saban is prick, and so is Urban Liar. So what? All they do is win titles and I would take them any day of the week and throw the bank at them to boot.

Yo u stay slurpin anyone in orange n green but say everyone else in a different color is over rated.....open those fkin eyes what r u 200 years old? Need them as seen on tv hd glasses breh

For real?

You don't think Lamar Jackson has something to do with Petrino's success? Dude might be the best dual threat QB since Cam Newton and is probably a better athlete; if you put Lamar Jackson on our team with Richt calling plays we're undefeated.. Elite players make coaches look good. Petrino is in year 3 of his latest stint after going 9-4 & 8-5, and Richt isn't even finish with year 1! How exactly is Petrino "head and shoulders above Mark Richt"? Do you have anything tangible to base that assertion on, or is this just colorectal logic?

And mighty Saban was 7-6 year one at Alabama. Come again.

Petrino x and os is better than MR right now because hes been all over and always proves it. And Jackson has alot to do with them being top 5 and petrino as well. Hard to call that one

Nah, Petrino has a Heisman QB so his Xs and Os are gonna look great. His O-line can be a sieve but the QB can slow the pass rush with his escapability. From an X and O standpoint how may Nattys does Petrino have as HC or OC? How many Heisman QBs does he have? Richt has 1 Natty as FSU OC and 2 Heisman winners with 1 Runner-up; all had different styles of play, levels of athleticism, and physical make-ups. You couldn't be further from reality. As a HC Petrino was also 5-7 at Arkansas year 1; so how good were his Xs and Os then?

Come again.

I still see the butch davis lovers still hating on coach richt. and no they shouldn't of won all there games. yes fsu was a close game but they have way more depth and talent then Miami does right now.

nd is in brian Kelly's 5-6th year, richt is in his 1st, he doesn't have all his own players and nd's record is bad but look who they played they play a pretty tough schedule being an independent. north Carolina we were in till end against another team in its 5th or 6th year with same coach. that matters those kids know the system inside out. none of those teams had 3 freshman at lb, none of those teams have depth issues at cb, lb, wr,

none of those teams starting a true freshman at wr, I wish Miami has won all those games the one got away was vt but they were so injured playing on a short week in Blacksburg they fact they fought all game and were in it at all was suprising. richt and his staff have done a solid job with a team with some serious issues on the oline, also the one coach no one wanted has been the best coach on staff in diaz I remember most of u want aranda or others but ripped on the hiring of diaz only to watch diaz make Miami a tough d to play.

Right, why don't you regale us of Petrino's X and O prowess again... I only hope we can play Houston in the near future.
