One spot where we got really lucky Sat. night

Other than JT4's muff, we recovered every fumble on the field, offensively and defensively. Guys hustled hard to get to the football. Losing the few we could have may have ended the game earlier.
Oh wow there's 2 of us that actually noticed this. After the 617 threads about how we would have won other than 2 plays, there's a realistic thread that realizes we also got lucky as ******* ****. The we "forced" 4 turnovers threads can be included. They fumbled on their own about to go up 14-3 which at the time probably would have been lights out, fumbled on their own again, and Taco threw 2 picks on his own. For all the "we gifted them the win" and "we had the ball with a chance to win" stories, it's enlightening to see a touch of reality thrown in. Yes give the team credit for recovering so many and having the desire to do so, but grasp the reality that based on percentages we got lucky and that game wouldn't have been nearly as close without it. It was essentially a 2017 game all over again. God awful offense and special teams, dominant defense that keeps bailing them out, and incredible luck that the ball kept bouncing our way. In '18 percentages bounced back the other way and everyone saw the results. I'm not ****ting on the D's efforts in the least, I'm facing reality that for every time Miami fans say we were a few plays away, Florida fans can say the same.

Agree 100%. If the turds dont put the ball on the ground inside the 5 early, we are down 14-3 and theres a very real chance that game goes right down the wisconsin road. The turds made even more bad mistakes than we did. It was one of the ugliest football games I've ever seen.

Such an ugly game lol

Brevin's TD was tipped and landed right where it needed to.
UF was about to go ahead 14-3 before Franks fumbled.
UF got called for PI on 4th and 34

Florida got handed the ball inside the 10 on the JT muff, Those 2 early pass Interference were BS , JT dropped the TD, we miss a field goal, that holding on mallory on the fake field goal was total BS , that PI on Uf on 4th and 34 was a good call, the last one that got picked up was questionable , but if they called those 2 on us early they shouldn't of picked it up! They capitalized on some mistakes and we didn't! we should of tried the field goal on 4th and 9. Bubba has the leg to get it there

It's like neither team wanted to win! And yes, we should have kicked the FG late. Who cares that Baxa had just missed the chippy? He's on a full ride to kick FGs here for the next 3 years. It's what he was brought here to do. Let him do it. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess.

Hustle and effort for the ball is not luck that's a choice by our players.

It's been proven by data analysis that fumble recoveries are, by and large, luck.

Our turnover luck was +3.5 on Saturday. Teams with that number lose a very, very small percentage of their games. Miami was handed the football game and couldn't take it. Pretty disappointing.

On our final drive we fumbled 3 times and recovered all 3.

Props to our players to hustling to the ball - but that's lucky as **** to fall on all 3.

There were way too many sloppy plays, penalties, turnovers, mistakes, etc. on both sides to blame this game on any 1 play, or player, or coach.
