I believe PSU wanted him, but they wanted no part of coach NO D. Frauden and the PSU deal fell apart once Frauden could not bring his BFF with him.

at 9 and 3, and even if he doesn't get Coastal... He's not going anywhere... he'll be beating his chest, saying he's close and is turning it around.
Good for another year or two.

Every year all we hear is how now Golden finally has depth. Well, we had depth last year. But last year we also had a **** load of NFL talent, much of which is now in the NFL. So I'm not sure how we are in a better position than we were last year. Sure Kaaya is now a sophomore, but he doesn't have Duke, Dorsett, or Walford, OR Flowers, Feliciano, and McDermott to anchor the Line!! Our offense is going to absolutely suck next year, and I can only imagine how bad our defense is going to be without Chickillo or Perryman.
I honestly believe that Lane Kiffin could lead us to an ACC championship game, but Golden won't even be able to get us 7-8 wins. That is just sad. Like, that's epically sad. And I really dislike Kiffin. Id take 4/5 years of Kiffin and whoever he brought with him, if it meant getting rid of Golden and Donofrio before this season started.
There's always a chance in the always weak Coastal, in particular when every team we face besides Clemson appears to be weaker on paper heading into the season. Right now, 9-3 should be the bottom expectation, not some perceived miracle should it happen.
Kiffin would win a championship here, but he couldn't do anything at USC, which is basically the west coast clone program of UM when it comes to ability to build a winner? Kiffin can coach, it's the other crap he brings to the table that is scary. We would get the death penalty under Kiffin. We would win a championship, but it would be the last one ever.
