One reason this program could possibly turn a corner in 2015

If Golden goes 9-3, he'll get his *** whipped by FSU in the Championship Game. However, getting that far is his meal ticket to the MAC, which is where he's headed.

The first time I see one of our DE's attempting to cover the other teams WR 25 yards down the field, all my warm and fuzzy feelings about our roster stability will evaporate. 4-8.

I predict play 1 against FAU. They come out in the spread. We will flex Chad out from his frog stance to cover the slot. And the drinking will commence on my end.

So far only one individual from the 2014 recruiting class has left the program (Hester).

R. Lewis and K. Olsen are the only ones who left from the 2013 class. Sandland also left but he'd have graduated by now anyways.

After several years of significant roster turnover, with varying agendas and different coaches being shuffled around, perhaps some stability will help a bit.

And when I say help a bit I mean maybe we'll go 9-3. We all know that Golden is a poor football coach but perhaps with enough things working in his favor he can get over the hump with a few breaks.

There's certainly enough talent in place to win the Coastal.

Golden has never shown for any of this to really benefit him as a coach. At temple he had a huge talent advantage and couldn't beat a team in the league with a winning record. Had a pretty talented team this year relative to the teams spaced and he finished last, dead last in a weak conference. Inherited one of the most talented and experienced teams in 2011 and had 4 wins vs div 1 teams. He lost to a handicapped 3-8 team, one of the worse losses in um history.

We turned the corner in the VT game last year. There were a couple missteps after that, but those were a result of us getting robbed in the FSU game. I think we can easily rekindle that corner turn from the VT game.

This is no heel turn. This is me acknowledging that anything is possible, and we need to be prepared for any outcome. Not just in sports but life in general.

There's talent enough to go 9-3. There's coaching enough to go 3-9. The likelihood is that we'll end up somewhere in between.

That FSU game was criminal. They got away with a ton of holding and Duke left the game with cramps. And we can't overlook the influence that - that that effect or effects, might have on something.

Or the play calling going Vanilla in the second half.

You forgot about Antonio Crawford

He was part of the vaunted 2012 class

:jordan:

Good points though. Stability and Kaaya might save coRch's job. Awesome.

It's tough for me to blame the team for slumping a bit after that FSU robbery. They fought so **** hard all season and probably would have won the ACC Championship Game but for the officials securing the outcome for FSU. There was nothing left after that.

I can't believe any power 5 school would want him. I have never seen a coaching performance so consistently ridiculed by the national media. No AD will be willing to take that on.
If Golden went 9-3, he could bounce on his own terms. You never know.... there could be a dumb school out there who would offer him a little more money. Still, if Miami doesn't win the coastal regardless of a 9-3 record, he's gone I would think. Shalala isnt here anymore to save his ***.

You bring up a good point. I don't think Golden is going to stay one way or the other. If he does poorly, he'll be fired. If he does moderately well, he'll parlay that into another gig.

The public pressure, the public disrespect, the public derision, and the public dismissal of him as UM's head coach can't be ignored by Golden or his family. He's a square peg in a round hole. He knows it, we know it, the broadcasters know it and say it, and the sports writers know it and say it.

Deep down, he knows he isn't up to this job. The first opportunity to bolt - he's gone.

He screws up, he's gone.

Golden is gone.

At 9-3, he wouldn't be going anywhere. Nobody would be willing to offer him more money or even the same amount, so he'd stay here and keep cashing those checks.

Anyone saying otherwise is a fool. He's delusion in that he thinks we're all so stupid as to fall for his b.s. excuses, what makes you think after a record like that following 6-7 would change his crap?

Nobody will give this guy a HC position after his stint here is over. Golden missed any chance he had a few years back, and really the only places i see he could have gone. Would have been the level he came from prior to taking this gig.

Golden will be a LB coach the rest of his life. If he chooses to stay in coaching.

He's well spoken and can say a lot without saying anything at all. He has a bright future ahead of him on television.

giving reasons as to why he WILL be fired is asinine

There is/was already 75 reasons and the dude still has a job

Reasons will never get this clown fired. Im scared that we actually need him to leave n his own volition and sadly, I cant think of any REASON why he would

Isn't the standard reply -when someone says we got the talent to win the coastal - "negged"?
