One positive

I was really surprised by how much OKSt bought on that little fake run move that Perry did.

I always say King is a athlete (and leader) but not a QB. Kosi showed what Lashlee's offense can look like with a QB. Kosi is not the answer but if TVD or Garcia is. this offense can be dangerous. Also, benching Gaynor will help too. we have to find an answer. his crappy snaps and getting pushed back every play kills us.
the main difference is Kosi can see OVER the line of scrimmage... but his release and ball velocity is slow— allowing defense to close on our WR

King can only see in between the linemen but his throws are quicker and better velocity.

We won the lottery with Garcia.... he’s going to start next year.

I just wonder what King's passing numbers would be with a better group of WR's
Bingo...I mean just think on this....Perry would've had WAY OVER 350+ passing yards and possibly 3-4TDs if Wiggins and Pope CATCH THE BALL....and that's in only 2.5 quarters of work....

I hate that King is hurt and of course he's QB1 if he's healthy in time for the 2021 season....but we aren't as nowhere near being dead in the water if we have to start Kosi-TVD-Garcia-Matocha for the bulk of the 2021 season.

Even WITH Bama loss and say UNC loss, we still 10-2 and in the ACCCG.....Perry can do that for us next year, we have to get him to come back, but idk if it's a little too late for that....because if King even remotely has the chance to come back say by Oct, it'll likely be in Kosi best interest to transfer into a spread O himself and advertise the goods he displayed vs OKST for 2 years.....

U’re my guy, but I can’t f w this take.

It’s called there was no film study on the backup QB. The team was prepared to face King, not Perry. Back up QBs often look like heroes when they haven’t played all season b/c there’s no game plan. It’s an unknown. I remember when Trubisky went out & Chase Daniels came in for the 1st time under Nagy’s offense, and dude looked like Joe Montana. Fans were actually saying Daniels is a better fit for Nagy’s O than Trubisky. Lol. That lasted 2 games.

King made Lashlee look much better than he is, imo. King saved us in both the VT & NCSt games in the 4th qtrs. What we saw was a Bi product of the proverbial monkey wrench. Come against Bama & the rest of our schedule next yr (assuming King won’t be ready til like October), you’ll find out.

I love Lashlee but I knew he was going to choke on the last drive with his play calling, and he did. He needs to improve in that department. Also, we need more misdirection and deception to keep Defense on their toes.

Pray TVD is the future.
I don't think he choked on the last drive. If the deep ball was caught, which it should have, we are in field goal range. The last screen call might be suspect, but they were in zero coverage so if the backers hadn't caught Jordan from behind he may have scored. Just too slow getting the play off.

You are right on. King is not a QB or special athlete IMO. Nkosi played well because he has had a whole season to absorb the offense. He is clearly a far better passer than King and IMO can run just as effertively. Hoping TVD and Garcia become our "Joe Burrow or Kyle Trask"

I can understand maybe not coming in with last night’s situation but not coming in to finish up games? I mean how much you have to know to come in and run the team for 15-20 snaps when the outcome is decided?

how many games have we had this year where the outcome was decided? FSU? Duke? thats it really

yea I thought the screen was a good call based on what OK state was running. again, we weren't gonna get the time for the receivers to get to the sticks no matter what. it was a good use of using OK states defensive aggression against them. it just didn't work which happens. the bigger issue is the dime Perry threw to Jordan that wasn't caught down the middle or the dime that he threw to Pope that likely wins the game wasn't caught. cant blame an OC who likely puts up 40 plus with receivers who can at least catch with a backup QB after losing his QB in the first half against a top 30 secondary

Ok well that’s two games he could of had 20+ snaps and other than a series , Maybe two that I remember , where he handed the ball off it was Perry who got the snaps...if you had a guy you were figuring on to lead your team against Bama next year wouldn’t you think you might want to get him some live action to get game experience 🤷‍♂️

you gotta also see if he was even available for either of those lol. id have to look at the availability report but im pretty sure he missed one of those 2 and yes he did miss the duke game and that means he wasn't practicing for the entire time he was out either. gotta be realistic there. this is the one season where it just became tough on everyone in terms of availability and development for the freshmen. combine it with a full shutdown of the program for a few weeks as well.

I’m not gonna argue back and forth with you on this.I don’t need the post count that badly.
I’ll just say it’s funny that every time King comes out for whatever reason out comes the guy that hasn’t done much the last 3 years and the guy that’s supposed to be the heir apparent stays firmly planted on the sideline... if that doesn’t make you wonder WTF is going on I don’t know what to tell ya...have a great New Years.Let’s all pray King and not Perry,TVD OR Garcia is under center when we roll in to p,any Bama next year.

ok. I literally told you we had no real blowout games to throw out a true freshman with no practice time spring or summer out there and when we did he was out for one of them. either way, good talk. enjoy your day

Pope and Wiggins are terrible WRs. You add Perry’s beautiful throws that go sky high and you get WRs that are disoriented and can’t catch the ball.

I been calling Scaife to center, with Big Don and Jalen at the two guard spots

Kings is a great kid. A leader. A great athlete. He’s not a qb

He’s an athlete playing the position. He doesn’t have a great feel
Or touch.
