One photo representing UM's greatest moment each decade since 1980

This year he’ll be taking the walk-ons independence bowl runners up ribbon around.
Lol we already have one from 2014. Proceeds from #TNM fundraising campaign will go towards building a dedicated shelf in the Hecht for our Independence Bowl runner-up ribbons

Let's see...the '70s probably would have been either a photo from the home season opening upset victory over Texas, or Jim Kelly's debut at Penn State.

The former was a bigger win in terms of how much attention it received nationwide, but the latter was immediately obvious as more meaningful to the program long term.

I find it odd how that team lost to FAMU, but beat PSU.

FAMU lost 4 games that year. They weren’t even that good of an FCS team.

I think the win against ND in 17 was the highlight of the decade for me. It wasn’t much on a grand scale, but it was my favorite.

I had been careful after Va. Tech in 2005 and Oklahoma on 2009 to not get too excited. After this one I genuinely thought that15 years of frustration were over. I jumped on my living room table screaming as Bandy was returning this one back. My wife thought I had lost my mind. I can still hear Fowler in my head “break out the chain again.” Wow, what a let down.

The loudest singular moment inside of any stadium I’ve ever been.
