One photo representing UM's greatest moment each decade since 1980

The 1980s

Howard is carried off the field after Miami's 31-30 win over Nebraska in the Orange Bowl. Bernie Kosar would win the MVP and Miami would be crowned National Champions for the first tiime in school history.

The 1990s

Like thw two coaches before him Dennis Erickson is carried off the field after Miami's Sugar Bowl Victory in 1990, which sealed the 1989 National Championship. Erickson would go on to win one other at Miami.

The 2000s

Larry Coker raises the Sears trophy after Miami's 2002 Rose Bowl win over Nebraska. This would be Miami 5th National Championship and the third decade in a row with one. Not sure why Coker wasn't carried off the field, or if he was why no one took a photo.

2010's

Brad Kaaya raises his arms in celebration after Miami's 2016 Russell Athletic Bowl win over West Virginia. This remains Miami's only bowl win this decade. Miami will face Louisiana Tech in the Independence Bowl to close out the decade.

2010 is truly a lost decade. Here’s hoping to a resurgence in the not too distant future.
