What would you prefer......we win it all this year and then sink back to where we been the last nearly 20 years or would you rather build a solid foundation first that will last. I would rather take the growing pains now and build a legit contender for years.

The foundation is being laid. It takes time. If you want a microwave season, turn on NCAA 14 and shut up.

If you want a dynasty, sit back and watch these guys build something.

What I saw Saturday night was the foundation being laid.

Not sure this brick by brick **** is what most Cane fans want to hear.

CIS posters like to throw them though.

I want what Dabo has built at Clemson.

That includes a game or two where WVU hangs 77 points on the Miami D.

CIS porsters will go full freak factor 10 meltdown if that happens.

Riots in street outside Manolo's villa. Burning Penos and Baker in effigy.

Oh the horror.

Why are these the only 2 choices? LOL.

This is a false dichotomy. There is no trade-off between winning now or winning in the future. If we had a chance to win now, we would try to win now. And if we win now, there's no reason to think we would immediately "sink back". But if we can't win now, then sure, let's "build a solid foundation first", whatever that means.

A few years ago Liverpool football club in England were moments away from administration (basically going bust). They were bought by the ownership group who owns the Boston Red Sox. A huge portion of the fanbase screamed bloody murder because they hadn't been bought by some Oil Sheik who would sink billions into the club and turn it around immediately. Well it took a few years, and they fixed the club and won the most prestigious club trophy in the world last year. I'm willing to wait for a good foundation, it's very satisfying when it all comes together.

We should at least be able to win the coastal every year while we are building something. Clemson is a mountain, but when we climb it, we are there playing in the big game at the end of the year.

I know we all want it rn..**** I want the ***** on the first date all time but it don’t always work out that way..with being said manny is the first coach that weve had in my lifetime for sure that says the **** I, from my fan perspective would say. I think he’s views are realistic. His demands for excellence from his players is in your face and straight forward. If I’m a player I’d respect a coach who took his approach. Even with Enos I saw some who thought he was too harsh on Jarren in the presser. But nothing he said was wrong. Jarren did miss some BIG PLAYS. Your QB1 at the U so your held to higher standard. We saw dabo do it at Clemson and saban do at bama as far as holding that position accountable. You don’t live up to the standards, you get called out, not a “well your just a freshman so here’s your pass”. I ******* love that ****. Manny is not scared to say we about winning and anything less is unacceptable.

Fellas we had canes fans in the stadium who thought we might put a good game effort but it would really be a game we could win..and look what happened..manny and co had them boys ready to compete and win..but a few mistakes, few bad calls and us not finishing was the difference...fellas we gon be good I love where we are heading. I love the class we have put together I love the attitude throughout the program

Agreed, but haven’t we been having this same conversation for every regime in the blast 15 years. Want to see this team improve steadily over this season.
