we had a game to play in the cold weather, he had the players before the game go out to do their stretches shirtless to show them the cold should not affect their comfort to play and it worked...can't remember which game it was...not much else do I remember that Golden did right though!

If I recall, that was Denzel Perryman who came out for warm ups without a shirt, other players followed his lead. That had nothing to do with Alfred.

No doubt that Al Goldern did some good things. I'll bet he was a good speller and his letters required minimal correction by the secretary.
